Infra red sensor to boost signal from behind tv
Brilliant infra red sensor. Installed a media wall with soundbar behind the tv hence, needed this to boost the ability to control the soundbar. This works brilliantly. Range is very good and signal strength works well. It’s easy to install and use. Only downside is comment is the sticky back is not sticky enough to secure hence, I used additional double sided tape which has done the job just fine. Really reasonably priced and fast delivery. Highly recommend. I’m happy

A Very Useful Device to Get Invisible Light Round Corners and Into Dark Spaces
This USB powered device receives the signals from your infra-red remote controls, amplifies them and beams them out of a transmitter at the end of a wire. This can be pointed towards the devices you want to control.Unlike beams of IR light, which we all know travel in straight lines and are blocked by cupboard doors, the wire can go round corners and obstructions.I have an IR controlled HDMI switch matrix which is situated behind my TV to hide the unattractive web of cables connected to it. The small deceive is positioned on the stand next to the TV where it reliably picks up the commands for the matrix.I found the sticky pad on the transmitter, designed to enable it to be stuck over the receiver in the device being controlled, was not very helpful. I removed the sticker which made the light path from the transmitter more transparent and simply positioned the transmitter so the emitted IR would illuminate the receiver area.I also found the red LED on the receiver, indicating the device is powered on, rather distracting next to an OLED TV in a darkened room. The LED serves no purpose except everything these days needs a LED. A useful LED would be one that flashed to confirm an IR signal from the remote control has been detected.UPDATEI followed the advice of another reviewer, brave enough to open up the device and modify it. The LED no longer burns annoyingly but usefully flashes to confirm a command has been received. A good product made even better with a bit of soldering.

Simple Cheap Solution - Works Well - but NOT 10 feet length!
Purchased this IR extender to control an old Apple TV that I wanted hidden away in the cupboard. As other reviews say, this unit has a very bright red LED that's always on when it's powered, however I've found that the field of view to receive your IR commands is excellent, so it can be hidden away to be less obtrusive... I've attached ours to the underneath of the TV cabinet, so cannot be seen unless you are on the floor. The cable to the blaster is a good length, but the USB power cable is not as long - it would be great if the manufacturer spent a few extra pence on having the cables of equal length. The USB power cable is approx 1.3m (4.3ft) and the IR blaster cable is approx 2m (6ft) - so not quite the 10ft that is advertised in the product title, but it does also say in the description that it's 6ft - but this is not the case for the power - so if that's an issue for you, beware! I'm hoping that a USB extension cable will carry enough power for me from the TV to power this, so it's only active when the TV is powered up.The unit works perfectly with our Apple TV, it's small enough to be discretely hidden out of sight and is a good price, so even with the discrepancy in the cable length, I would recommend this product.

Amazing magic eye. So easy to use.
So our sky Q box is behind a cupobaord door and wasn't receiving signal from sky box to remote... TSo after some researcj and reading the reviews on here, we took a chance and boight this... And omg its brilliant, our remote now works with sky Q box behind the cupbaord door, and the thought of we was prepared to drill another whole on the wall so we could have the sky box visible in order for it work, just makes me laugh...We put the USB port into the skybox for power. The small eye on the sky box next to the buttons on the devixe u want to control and the bigger eye outside and hidden and under the cupboard door- the sensor works very well even if u put the big eye in an awkward position.Highly recommend.Dirt cheap and arrived within the day with prime acccount.

Doesn’t work for Sky + HD box
Doesn’t work! The sticky back isn’t very sticky so used sellotape. Still doesn’t change the channel.I’m trying to use it on a Sky + HD box as the control doesn’t work through a cabinet door. Thought this would sort it out. Unfortunately not!!

Not sure
I got this for my TV since our receiver was broken. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to solve the issue, but I'm not sure if the problem lies with the receiver or if my TV just isn't working properly! So, I can't really comment on how well it works.

A simple and effective solution.
I have a Hisense 43 inch tv in my bedroom that has it's infra red receiver awkardly placed in the extreme bottom left hand corner of the the set. It doesn't always respond to the remote commands because the set is quite low and the infra red receiver is not well aligned with line of sight. This device allows me to position it's infra red receiver exactly where it will be most effective for reception. Then it's a simple matter of siting the relay transmitter next to the TV's infra red receiver, plugging the USB plug into a USB socket on the TV and job done.
