Works (almost) every time
I love wine and I'm clumsy. I've tried all the other home remedies like salt, white wine, seltzer/tonic water, etc. and this is the only thing that truly works. This stuff is amazing, even on old stains! If I spill on clothes while I'm out, I spray this on when I get home (after the stain has dried) and then don't wash it until I'm ready to do a full load of laundry (which has been up to a week) and the stain still comes out.Just to warn new users, the stain normally turns blue when you spray it. The first time I saw this happen I was scared I traded one stain for another. But then you wash the garment, or use a damp cloth on upholstery or carpet, and like magic it's gone. There has only been one time where it didn't work 100% and that was on my friend's shirt. I imagine it may have had something to do with the fabric which looked very synthetic/like rayon. So I was tempted to give it 4 stars, because it hasn't had a 100% track record. But then I thought about all the other times it's completely gotten rid of the stain over the past 3 yrs and the stain on my friend's shirt may not have been gone completely but it was barely noticeable. So I have to give it 5 stars. I wouldn't hold a dinner party in my house if I didn't have this on hand.My one bit of advice is use a well-aired room, or at least don't stay close to what you've sprayed. it has a very strong slightly chemical smell that can linger for a long time and tickle your nose. I don't really see this as a problem and I didn't really notice it until a month ago when I spilt some red wine on the blanket I was curled up in on the couch while watching TV. I was too comfy to get up and wash it right then but being so close to the fumes for so long wasn't a pleasant experience.

Great product - let down (slightly) by feeble spray
This stuff really does shift even dried in red wine stains from (in my case) carpet - a whole glassful tipped over a beige carpet in my newly rented flat. "Don't worry," said a friend, "just use Wine Away on it. And don't try and clean it with anything else beforehand"So I ordered some from Amazon and two days after the spill started to clean it.The deep purple stain literally disappeared before my eyes. The pump action spray was however a bit of a let down. I had a large area to "saturate" (according to the instructions) and the spray only delivered a miniscule amount at a time and often none at all. More was dripping from my fingers that spraying onto the carpet.Against the advice on such containers, I thoroughly cleaned a trigger action household spray bottle and poured the Wine Away into that - bingo! Effortless coverage, instant results. What I feared would be either an insurance claim, a loss of my deposit or buying a new carpet cost me just a few quid.I have now ordered two bottles to keep in case of further emergencies (the stain took the entire 360ml bottle to eradicate) but will keep my trigger spray bottle handy in case I need to tackle another biggie. The main lesson though is not to put full glasses of red wine down on the floor...

Works a bit
i used this on pale blue jeans with a red wine stain on. I had already soaked and washed the jeans. I soaked the stained area with the fluid (would have been better with a spraying nozzle as others have commented) and washed them but it made no difference. I soaked them again and then washed the jeans again on a high temperature. The stain is mostly gone. I tried the same with a jumper. The stain is largely gone but it isn't clear how much of this is down to the stain remover.

Can't believe it worked!
I've never written a review of anything on Amazon before, be it good, bad or indifferent, but I felt I had to re: this product. We bought a light beige fabric settee from friends, replete with red wine stain on the top, and side of one arm. A good two inches in diameter, trickling down pretty much the whole side of the settee. The plan was to get someone in to chemically clean the pair of settees, and remove the stain at the same time.....that was until I was quoted £176 plus vat!!! I soon began searching for a cheaper solution. I was concerned that the stain itself had been there for months, it was actually hard, almost like a fabric burn mark.I decided to buy this product and give it a try. If it didn't work, well, I'd lost a few quid, but IF it did work, I'd save nearly 200 quid. It was worth the risk. It arrived a few days later, courtisy of Amazon, and I did as instructed, soaking the affected area, left it for a few mins, during which I became even more sceptical as no wine coloured emissions seemed to be drawn out of the settee, then, convinced it wouldn't work, wiped the affected area with a cloth.Amazingly almost 90% of the stain dissapeared - still unconvinced, I waited for the settee to dry as I felt it would inevitably leave the stain behind, but it didn't, it had pretty much gone, and a second application to the area I had not probably covered entirely the first time around, and it was totally gone. So, as you can tell by now, I'm very happy! It seems to be chemical free, so doesn't bleach anything, something I was worried about on the type of fabric I was using it on, and it smells really fresh and zesty - money very well spent.

Didnt work for me.
Had high Hopes for this after reading such positive reviews. Bought to remove a red wine stain after my hubby knocked over a whole glass on our beige carpet. The stain was less than 24 hours old. Did nothing, not even faded it. So disappointed as this wasnt cheap. My carpet is wool so dont know if that's anything to do with why it didnt work.
