Go System Backpacking Adapt Stove - Silver

I have a Trangia 25 and a number of smaller gas burners and though I would convert to gas for the Trangia as well.The Trangia burner is extremely expensive for what it is and I thought I would give the GS2000 a try. The burner is almost identical to the Trangia save for some cosmetic looks and the fuel regulator. The GS2000 uses the standard regulator found on nearly all Chinese manufactured gas camping stoves.Inserting the stove is simple and provides a snug fit. The hose is mesh-covered but quite short and the gas connection screws on tight.The burner head is quite small but when lit produces a good flame, but not the fierce heat of some of the smaller camp stoves. At medium heat, the Trangia kettle was at a rolling in around 4 minutes.Again, food cooks quickly in both the pan and the saucepans and I found no bother in achieving a gentle simmering heat.This is a really good addition to the Trangia system with the fuel burner as a backup. It's quiet and clean in use and gets the job done. For anyone with a Trangia system or thinking about getting one the Go System GS2000 Camping Stove is a really good buy.The only thing to take the shine off the purchase was that the seller discounted the price by around 16% following my order. I asked that they honour the discount with me, but they didn't reply. Pity. Would have been a nice gesture. Won't be using them again.

Well, after my order turned up over 300 miles away, in Newcastle, and the confused fella, who'd received it, phoned me, I contacted Adrian, at Winfield's, who was amazing, and sent another one out overnight. Excellent customer service.Now, the burner itself!Works perfectly, great control knob, sturdy and responsive. Flame burns steady. Build quality is superb. Friend of mine paid £70 for a genuine Trangia one, and had reckons, this is every big as good.Great product, and outstanding customer service. Well done Adrian 👍

I bought this for my Trangia 25, it fits well.The unit itself is lightweight (not Ronnie coleman style). It fits in the kettle (albeit you won't get both that and the original alcohol burner in there together). Its far, far cheaper than the official one. Build quality on it is good for the money. Best to turn the gas down as far as possible when lighting it, no one likes the smell of burnt knuckle hair. It goes like stink, far quicker than the original alcohol burner. Gordon Ramsay would happily fry a buffalo on this thing. Overall I really like it. Five stars.Two down points - the gas cans are expensive compared to Meths and its loud enough for the shuttle to feel a bit inadequate. If you were getting up early or having a cup of tea before bed, use the alcohol burner unless you want the whole campsite to hate you.

Compared to the official Trangia version this thing is a steal. It fits perfectly in the Trangia 25 and we’ve had no problems at all with it. A great alternative to the alcohol stove when speedy cooking is required.

Bought this to adapt by trangia 27 to use gas. Works very well and gets incredibly hot making quick work of boiling water. However be careful as I ended up melting the plastic handle of the trangia kettle using this with how hot it was so would recommend not having it full blast. Packs away nicely inside the trangia too. Very good.

Read other reviews of this product and it seemed to be exactly what I needed for my Trangia 25 - lower price than official item, but excellent quality and 100% fit for purpose. I am NOT disappointed! Quality is better than anticipated and it works flawlessly. I do not own an original Trangia gas burner, nor have I seen one in real life so I can’t compare the two but I fail to see how the official one can be better than this? Looking forward to many years of off grid cooking. Highly recommended.

Spectacular bit of kit! This totally transforms the Trangia into a high powered gas stove that offers a bit of luxury, particularly if you rope in you Trangia to water boiling duties during the family glamping trip!Whilst we are certainly not going to get rid of the meths burner for those lightweight walking trips, the simple turn-key variable heat control with this burner is such a luxury during those times you can carry a bit more weight in the form of a gas bottle. It fit's into the kettle too (if you leave out the meths burner) so you don't have to take up any more space when packed if you don't want to, save for the gas bottle of course.In use it sounds like a bit of a jet engine whilst on full power (but nice and quiet on lower settings) and it heated up a 1.25l pot of water to boiling in just over 3 minutes in an ambient temperature of about 21 degrees Celsius. That was about 10 minutes faster than the meths burner managed so you can see the extra power this affords.It fits the Trangia perfectly, actually a bit better than the Trangia branded one but I do prefer the branded versions larger flow control knob. This one is a bit small and not as nicely damped which makes it trickier to use, particularly with gloves on. What isn't in question though is the build quality, it's every bit as good as the branded version and I reckon it'll last for years if looked after.

Go System have created an excellent burner which is a perfect replacement for the Trangia burner but at less than half the price. Recommended.
