It has been so long since I bought and instaled mine that IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY, you removed the piece that is covering the tail gate with it down. Then ther are TWO SCREWS that the Bully LH-007 is attached with, remove the two screws holding the old handle one with and replace it with your new Bully LH-007.It is a real simple change.

Yes it Does. Fits 2002-2008 Ram 1500 and 2003-2009 Ram 2500 & 3500.

Q: Will this lock fit on a 2006 Dodge Dakota?

This does not fit the Dakota! For that you would need LH-005 and as of this date the Bully has discontinued it. Fits 2002-2008 Ram 1500 and 2003-2009 Ram 2500 & 3500.
