B+WMaster Clear Filter MRC Nano 49mm - Replaces XS-Pro 66-1066103

So now we sadly have yet another dumbed down product. The team at B+W need to get a grip .. Instead of the familiar snap case we have a cheap and nasty bag that leaves bag-dust-particles on the filter every time you withdraw it from the bag. Luckily I have spare cases so the bag can go in the bin.

It might cost a little more but it's worth it.

B+W has always been my go to filter. I’ve noticed recent reviews talking about the cloth pouch replacing the original hard case. Their reviews reflected the case and not the filter itself.When my filter arrived, it came with a leather pouch. It was in perfect condition and I really liked the knurled material on the outer ring.Will I miss the hard case? Sure, but I’m not going to ding the company for doing that. Especially since I’ve relied on their filters for all these years. Besides, this leather ouch provides a classy touch.I haven’t tested the new nano coating and will report back if there are any issues.It’s a B+W filter at its finest. There’s no degradation in image quality and the filter itself feels top notch. (Like all of the others I’ve purchased.)If a hard case is important to you, then there are other brands out there to choose from. I’m going to stick with B+W.

After almost a month I can state that the filter is one of the best I have ever used. No colour cast, no shading, no fingerprints.

I always buy protection filters from B+W and have never been disappointed. It comes in a nice leather case/ pouch which is very handy when I want to remove the filter on spot.
