Good quality hose reel. Well made and easy to put together.

Neat design, goes together well, looks nice on my patio. As mentioned in other reviews though, it does NOT hold 50m of hose, at all. I bought it for my 30m hose, which is about perfect. But do not buy this if you have 50m of hose: it won't be even remotely big enough.

Good well made reel, bit of a struggle to assemble especially the handle part getting it lined up with the reel. It says it will hold a 50 metre hose, my new one is 25 metres and fills the reel. I don't think you would get a 50 metre one on in my opinion. Correction to first review, on the box it says the reel will hold 50 metres for a 1/2" hose, 4 0 metres for a 5/8" and 3 0 metres for a 3/4" . This is nearer the latter but still think you would have trouble getting 30 metres on the reel. Edit on 28th June. I have the Flo Pro 25 metre ' kink free' hose on the reel. It is quite a weighty hose and have found when pulling hose out to the garden if not careful it will pull the reel over. The first time it happened the reel came apart, both metal supporting bars came out on one side and the handle assembly came out from the reel which is fiddly to get back in. I glued the metal bars in place, I have managed to pull the reel over on a few occasions despite me pulling the hose out gently. After saying how good it was I am disappointed with it now as they are not cheap. It may be better with a lighter hose on the reel. Who knows? I have docked 2 stars off from my earlier review.

The worts ever product I have purchased from Amazon so far: it feels flimsy and plastickie and it just does not stay together but keeps splitting appart and coming undone, even though all the screws are in etc. UTTER RUBBISH

I have always used Gardena garden products for the last 40 years. My in house hose reel which was 36 years old finally became brittle and had to be discarded. I purchased a separate 15m flex hose and this reel. It came down in a week and was well packaged. It is self assembly and you need a medium Philips screw driver to hand. It just has four screws to secure during assembly. Easy to do and takes about three minutes max. It looks nice and has the normal Gardena quality and feel. I added the 15 metre hose i purchased which is fine. I must admit I have no idea how it would take a 50 metre hose. I would say that it would nicely take 30 metre max. It has the normal connection for water inlet and then two lower connections to take either the loose hose end connector with an additional spray nozzle in the other. The winding handle folds down and locks into place. You need to push down on a plastic clip to release and fold in the handle after use. I am not sure how long this will last. Fingers crossed. It is not that easy to use either. Overall i am pleased with my purchase as i got it on offer for Thirty pounds. I think it is expensive for the normal price of £49.88. If you buy the reel and a hose, remember that you will also need to buy 2 connectors and the smaller hose connector kit to go from the reel to your tap. This is a 1.5 metre hose with a connector on either end. Unless you already have one.

This hose reel is well made, a bit pricey but worth the money.

Ayant acheté le "tuyau 30m flex" de chez gardena (que je trouve trop rigide), ce petit dérouleur est juste parfait pour pouvoir le dérouler et l'enrouler sans grand effort... N'ayant pas d'arrivée d'eau à l'extérieur, je connecte tout par mon robinet de cuisine grâce à "l'adaptateur pour robinet" de chez gardena. J'ai donc coupé mon tuyau aux dimensions qu'il me faut pour connecter le dévidoir au robinet et l'autre partie pour être libre de mes déplacements dans mon jardin. Qualité assurée. Aucune fuite de nul part. Je suis ravie. Ainsi mes plantes sont arrosées correctement et plus d'aller-retour pour remplir l'arrosoir. L'assemblage du dévidoir est très simple, en 5 min top chrono. Juste dommage qu'il n'y est pas la partie pour le fixer au mur dans cette offre. Il faut le maintenir avec le pied pour enrouler le tuyau, dévidoir très léger. Mais ceux sont des petits détails. De plus, commandé le 9 juillet, livraison prévue le mardi 17 juillet mais déjà reçu le 11 juillet :-) Merci Amazon et Merci au livreur.
