Unless you enjoy working with a magnifying lens and teensy tools, this kit will be a disappointment. My hubby loves Star Wars but this was ridiculously small. I ended up getting him a plastic model kit that was still small but doable. I can only picture this kit being fun for someone with good eyesight (or a large, hands free magnifier) who enjoys surgical type work on a micro scale. I don't think that is most people. This involves teensy metal tabs that must be carefully bent and slotted into teensy holes. Snap off a tab and you're in a mess. Plus the parts must be punched out of thin metal sheets without being too bent. It's like trying to form precise shapes out of thick aluminum foil...too tedious to be fun.

Not as easy as you'd think. Very small pieces very fiddly to do. Easily broken. You need the right tools to do it and lots of patience. Once it's dine it looks amazing.

All summed up below. My son was so excited to receive this in his stocking, and so disappointed when, after two hours, a small metal bit broke and the whole thing could not be rescued. This is a tiny item with tiny pieces and it breaks easily.
