The chair was easy to put together and the instructions were excellent. I purchased the chair just over a month ago with a headrest which makes it very comfortable, the build quality is very good, it could do with a bit more padding on the seat but apart from that I'm very pleased and it deserves 5 stars, it's extremely good value.

Compared to my old beaten up office chair that had jumped straight out of 2007, this chair is a thousand times more comfortable and stylish, and is a very reasonable price - however that price is reasonable for a reason. To start with the critiques, I find the height adjustment to be a little limiting. I have a tall desk with a large monitor, and I often feel the height of the chair could do with being just slightly higher than the maximum. While the chair was easy to assemble, some of the screw holes seemed to barely be within tolerance, almost to the point of having to force the screws. The plastic caps that cover the screws also do not sit properly because of this, and one of them in particular will sometimes fall out due to this. While it doesn't impact the actual stability or integrity of the chair, it did make the assembly process slightly more frustrating than it needed to be, and it does highlight why the chair is relatively cheap. The arms of the chair can also be frustratingly "in the way" while folded up; while the idea of the fold up arms is good in theory, the already wide chair is made even wider by this, and tends to get in the way of my arms, especially while gaming. The wheels also tend to "stick" a little in certain directions, making it difficult to slightly change position - but this may be due to being on a carpeted floor. However, the chair is very comfortable, with good back support and a pleasant back-rest height. The assembly process was simple, and even with the difficulty of some screws, the time taken and effort spent was minimal. The height, while not ideal, is still good for most instances - just maybe not for if you're over 6 foot with a tall desk. The actual material is also soft, and the armrests while down are highly comfortable too. Overall I'd say the negatives are perhaps large in number but low in impact - the low price of the chair, along with the high comfort, means that for the cost you are getting a pretty good seat. I'm using mine most days for hours at a time, and have no complaints that make me want a replacement - just little things here and there.

And now, thanks to the Rattantree High Back Office Chair, I too have found my seat of power — and it swivels with authority (or did, before I replaced the wheels… more on that shortly). First impressions? Decidedly stately. The material is a quiet triumph — not the sort of fabric that screams for attention, but the kind that sits there in dignified silence, waiting for you to notice its well-tailored excellence. Smart? Certainly. Professional? Undeniably. It has the look of something that might gently nod at you during a board meeting, then help you write a novel after lunch. There's no faux leather sheen or garish mesh here — just clean lines, good posture, and refined sensibility. The high back whispers sweet support to your spine, while the padding beneath your posterior feels like it was designed by someone who once sat for eleven hours straight and vowed never to inflict that kind of suffering on others again. It’s comfortable enough to forget you're working… which is both a blessing and a risk to productivity. Originally, this noble steed came with castors. But alas, my floor is wood — a delicate, creaky expanse not unlike the deck of an 18th-century galleon. I replaced the wheels with **bell glides**, transforming the chair from a roving rogue to a firmly planted guardian of posture. It now sits in resolute stillness, like a monk in mid-meditation. And frankly, it's better for it. Here’s the kicker: the price. For what I paid, I expected something that might last a year, squeak within a week, and develop a slow lean like a confused giraffe. But no — this chair is solid, sensible, and stunningly well-priced. It’s the sort of purchase that makes you suspicious of how affordable it was, then smug when you realise you’ve won a small domestic lottery. The Rattantree chair is the unassuming champion of my home workspace — a chair with dignity, comfort, and just enough character to make me feel like I’ve made a savvy, grown-up decision. Wheel-less but wise, it doesn’t roll anymore, but neither do I. Together, we sit — in peace, in purpose, and occasionally in pyjamas.

Easy assembly, good basic quality. Comfortable and just right for my purpose.

Been using this chair daily for 5 months now and it has been great! Assembly was quick and easy, took around 20mins and was very straightforward following included instructions, even the tools required were included so you have everything you need. One of the main things I wanted this chair for was the rocking feature which I really like as the chair reclines back as you lean back. The entire chair reclines (including the seat), with no way to adjust just the back separately. If this doesn't sound good to you, you may want to avoid this chair as, although there is a tilt lock, it does not keep it solid and still allows a small amount of tilt. The cushioning on the seat is decent, not the thickest but adequate. I sit on this for multiple hours at a time with no issues unlike with other chairs I've used. The build is mostly plastic. Overall not entirely sturdy, things will flex if pressure is applied however never found much of an issue with this and for the price is still really good. For the price I highly recommend this. I have no real complaints, its very comfortable and has held up perfectly well so far with no signs of giving up.

Extrem leicht aufzubauen, für den Preis TOP

Update: Trotz des mangelhaften Stuhls muss ich meine Bewertung nach dem Kontakt zum Verkäufer noch einmal anpassen. Der Kundendienst war sehr kooperativ und hat mehrere Lösungsvorschläge unterbreitet! Somit konnte mein Problem zu meiner Zufriedenheit gelöst werden. Also Kundendienst war hier TOP! Der Stuhl sieht auf den ersten Blick sehr schön aus. Auch das erste Probesitzen war okay, sodass ich den Stuhl auch behalten habe. Jetzt kommt mein großes ABER: Leider ist dieser Stuhl von einer katastrophalen Qualität! Nach kurzer Zeit sitzt sich das (auf den ersten Blick recht dicke) Sitzpolster durch und wird dadurch sehr hart bzw. unangenehm beim sitzen. Auch die Feder gibt nach einigen Wochen/Monaten extrem nach, sodass die Sitzfläche ganz von alleine runterwandert, oft sogar komplett (so als würde man den Hebel betätigen!). Auch die Rollen gleiten nach einiger Zeit nicht mehr sauber über den Boden, sondern verhaken sich häufig. Dieser Stuhl ist somit nach ein paar Monaten komplett unbrauchbar! Ich bin total enttäuscht! Abgesehen davon, dass es alles andere als Nachhaltig ist sich alle paar Monate einen neuen Bürostuhl zu kaufen und den alten zu entsorgen, kann das auch nicht der Sinn eines Sitzmöbels zu sein! Es wundert mich überhaupt nicht, dass sich scheinbar in den letzten Monaten (nach meinem Kauf) die negativen Rezensionen häufen. Vermutlich hat sich hier die Qualität in kurzer Zeit drastisch verschlechtert. Hätte ich das vorher gewusst, hätte ich diesen Stuhl NIEMALS gekauft.

Leider etwas unbequem

Da ich demnächst im Home-Office arbeite, benötigte ich einen passenden Stuhl. Schnelle Lieferung gut verpackt und riecht auch nach nix. Der Stuhl sieht auch so aus wie auf der Abbildung (rosa weiß) eimfache Anleitung zum zusammen bauen, kann man gut und schnell alleine schaffen. Wie sich der Stuhl im Gebrauch zeigt, kann ich noch nicht sagen, daher 1 Stern weniger, probesitzen war auf jedenfall angenehm. Wenn er auch als langlebig er weist, würd ich ihn wieder kaufen.
