Rolson 50799 Distance Measuring Wheel

I bought this wheel without being too bothered about how long it would last as I only needed it for one job. Really surprised and very happy to find the quality is actually very good and far more robust than I expected. It easily coped with measuring the very bumpy field I needed to measure with ease and I am confident it will last a long time. The counter is easy to read and even has a light if you have a desire to measure distances at night. Better quality than many more expensive wheels, easy to use and comes with its own carry bag for storage. If you want to be extremely picky, the stand (which I assume is designed to come off for storage) will pop off if used a bit roughly but it works adequately and does what it needs to.

Easy to use - once I figured out the handle needs to slides straight over the join - this holds it straight. Otherwise it folds up, which is great once finished and you fold it up into the bag. The counter goes up as you roll along what you need to measure, and flick the reset lever to start again. It has 4 digits for meters and a unit measurement for under 1m - which is good for accuracy.

Used for several days for a tree survey. Nice and easy to use, clear digits and the plastic wheel performed well on uneven ground (in the past I've used trundle wheels with rubber wheels which are far superior). The stand can be a bit of a pain, easily and frequently coming off when it contacts something at the wrong angle (branch/steep slope). However you begin to learn to watch for these things with time!A carrier bag was supplied with the wheel but it is very thin and within 2 days of use, a hole had developed in the fabric which was disappointing. Other than that, it was good for the job.

I brought this for occasional use measuring field boundaries for fencing and to enable calculation for pesticide application. Its well made and very functional. It all packs down to store in the bag provided.The handle has a double hinge which is locked straight by a plastic part that slots over the hinge. This is designed to look like a carrying handle and for some reason I always want to carry it by that part which is sad as it all folds up if you try it!

Very good quality, easy to use and the stand is very useful for taking notes mid-measure, overall a very good tool (the stand might attached a little more positively to the stem as it does fall off a little too easily if knocked)

This works really well. The display is easy to reset (it shows distance in metres not imperial yards). Not sure why it has a light. I am not going to be measuring fields in the dark! I have read reviews where people say the centre handle has broken. I think this is operator error as you do have to be slightly careful with it as you need to engage it correctly when unfolding the handle. I also liked the carry case it came with.

Excellent product worth the money

Accurate and handy but ...The first time I used it the handle (the bit that loops around your hand) snapped.The second time I used it the clip that holds it together when folded snapped off.but other than that it's a good one ... Item used daily and the light is very useful as I can now measure up when it starts gets dark!

Sabemos que estamos en la obsolescencia programada y que los productos se hacen para no durar demasiado.Partiendo de este punto:Lo positivo: Es funcional; se pliega; el lector tiene luz; tiene una pieza para mantenerlo en pie; el precio es muy asequible.Lo negativo: la rótula para plegar el bastón es de plástico, lo mismo que la pieza del soporte añadido para mantenerlo en pie con la que se coge el bastón del medidor. En la primera medición que he realizado, hubiera agradecido que la rueda tuviera una llanta algo más blanda para adaptarse mejor a cierto tipo de pavimentos, porque el pavimento que tuve que medir tenía piedras pequeñas angulosas, y no quedé del todo seguro de si se había adaptado bien al pavimento, o bien si había botado algo y la medición no había sido todo lo precisa que debiera haberlo sido.Resumiendo: se puede recomendar, pero cuidado con las piezas de plástico.

Das Streckenmessrad erfüllt meine Erwartungen voll und ganz. Es funktioniert auf ebenen, aber auch auf unebenen Flächen. Vor allem das Zurückrechnen beim Rückwärtsgehen ist sehr praktisch. Der Zusammenbau ist sehr leicht. Vorteilhaft ist zudem der Standfuß, der leicht zu befestigen ist. Dieser könnte noch etwas stabiler sein.Der Raddurchmesser beträgt 31,8cm, sodass eine Radumdrehung 1m ist.Zusammengelegt kann das Streckenrad in einer mitgelieferten Tasche aufbewahrt werden.Etwas überflüssig finde ich die Beleuchtung, die bei Bedarf am Griff zugeschaltet werden kann. Auch ohne Beleuchtung ist das analoge Display einwandfrei ablesbar.Insgesamt ist das Streckenmessrad empfehlenswert. Es macht einen sehr stabilen Eindruck. Preis-Leistung top und für mich vollkommen ausreichend.

Odometro gran calidad, viene con bolsa de transporte que facilita su transporte. Facilidad de uso. Permite medir largas distancias y tiene luz por si lo utilizas de noche o con poca luz
