Was exactly what it claimed
I have 4 cats I need to transport when we go to the vet. The female does not like the 3 males so she needed her own carrier, and I needed a backpack option since I only have 2 hands😉 The girl doesn’t hate, but not a fan of carriers so I was excited at the prospect of this having the fold out feature so she could stretch out during the ride. The construction is great, once you open and close it a couple times you will get a hang for how to do this with a cat inside, but I would make sure you are conscious of a cat that would dash out, if you had to open a corner while folding the back up. Lots of pockets, and view/netting for the cat to see and get air circulation. My cat is a medium size cat and she will most likely have to sit up when in backpack mode, but if your cat likes to curl up, there is plenty of room. When it is open your cat can stretch out, walk around, all the sides are a netting material, so they have full visibility and air flow, to stay cool. There are clips for the zippers, if you have a clever cat that can unzip, so it’s pretty escape artist proof.I haven’t had a maiden voyage with the carrier yet, but the girl seems just fine when I’ve shown her the carrier. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Super cute, functional, minimal issues
I have an 8 month old dog who is about 18-20lbs. He has small little legs and fits the measurements given in the product description. Overall, this little backpack worked wonderfully! We ordered it a few weeks before my trip and worked with my dog to learn “Backpack” and that he gets treats for going in and settling. He didn’t like when I had to turn the backpack on it’s side to fit under the airline seat, but he stayed in and was quiet for both flights. The side pockets were nice, I was able to stick his breakfast and treats on one side and his leash and collapsible water bowl on the other. The down side was that the little cardboard “base” wasn’t strong enough and dipped with his weight. This could be because he is a little heavier than recommended use, but I wish it was more sturdy. The straps were really comfort though which was nice. Also, there is a little leash on the side to help keep the animal contained but it’s a bit long. If I trusted it, my dog would have been able to jump out and I’d be in a pickle. Lastly, for some reason I was under the impression that the front part has the little clasps to keep the zipper from sliding down all the way but it didn’t work at all. Fit under the seat on Southwest flights. The newer planes have a bit more room it seems.

Charlie approved
I looked at a lot of different cat backpacks for our cat, charlie, who is desperate to go outside (whines incessantly) but is not safe unattended and hates leashes. I finally chose this based on the reviews. And I can tell you it does not disappoint. Charlie is a 10 lb average sized domestic short-hair and he loves it. As soon as I pull it out he jumps right in and doesn't mind sitting in it when it's placed on the ground, especially with the extending compartment. Without the compartment, the bag is a little tippy so beware. I haven't had him in it for more than 2 hours yet and it hasn't cured him of his dislike of cars, but I love this pack. My only minor complaint is that you have to go into the cat compartment when you close up the extending compartment to velcro it back in and it could be risky for a very clever cat to push out. I'm glad I'm a little smarter than Charlie so far.

My 10-lb. Yorkie loves it and so do I!
I ordered different carriers to test out. Including the Petskd, Apollo Walker, and Leke, all expandable to fold into a crate if needed. I was judging, based on order of importance: high ventilation, zippered side panels for doggy viewing (she likes sticking her head out the sides rather than the back), expandable crate, comfort for me (low bulk, back pressure), not too high for dog to stick head out, and general appearance.Apollo had a bar that hit my lower back and was uncomfortable, but every other feature was perfect - including all the zippered openings to let my dog stick her head out every which way. The expandable crate was the biggest too. But that bar would have prevented long walks. It was also a bit too bulky looking and I had to use a towel on the bottom for my dog to be able to reach the side panels comfortably. The Petskd was very comfortable, with extra back padding, but I didn’t like that my dog could only look out the side or the top, and it didn’t seem to have enough ventilation if it was a hot day. The crate area was also a bit small. Cozy for a 10-lb dog but not much else. When used as a backpack, I had to put a towel on the bottom for my dog to comfortably stick her head out the sides. The Leke was comfortable, cute, had a big enough crate area, and had plenty of ventilation. The only downside was that it’s side panels didn’t open for my dog to stick her head out. Overall, it won based on comfort (for me and dog), ventilation, lightness, and the cute striped pattern. The Leke wins! Looking forward to taking trips with my dog!

Worth it, and So Cute!
This is so cute, so convenient, and so worth it!I take my cat on bike rides every morning, and this carrier has been the most effective and comfortable carrier for the both of us. She has never been more calm or at ease in another carrier in her life. The pink colour is nice and light, but not dusty. She hasn't managed to get through the netting, and really enjoys the tent feature when we go for picnics. My only complaint is that it had a bit of a burnt plastic smell when it arrived, the extra floor board doesn't fit and there were no instructions. The lack of instructions can be forgiven though, as the setup is fairly intuitive.Overall I recommend this for anyone with skiddish, but curious cats they don't trust on a leash.
