I have been using AviPro for years, including the days when AviPro contained both a prebiotic and probiotic before the EU regulations re probiotics changed. AviPro now includes only prebiotic soluble fibre plus vitamins and glucose. For any pet rabbits who are a bit off colour with an upset tum, recently had a course of Baytril or other antibiotics or have been subject to stress, adding AviPro to their food and/or water for a few days can help return their digestive system to normal. Anyone who has kept pet rabbits will be aware that they are a prey animal and still retain their wild rabbit responses, and their stress response often affects their gut leading to GI upsets or the dreaded and potentially fatal gastro-intestinal stasis. For any bunnies prone to stress or at known stressful periods then it can be helpful to routinely add AViPro to feed and water to help give their digestive systems a boost before there are any symptoms. AviPro is also good to use following infections, illness or even surgery during the few days following recovery. Our rabbits will happily drink water containing AviPro and don’t seem to notice when the power has been added to their dry pellets or rubbed into small pieces of apple, fresh dandelions or veggies. Bought for my friend after her staffy dog had a swelled tummy and trapped wind. She does feed the dog all the wrong stuff though including chocolate and sweets. She’s not said whether it works or not as I’m sure she would have to make changes to her dogs unhealthy diet to see improvement. She did say her dog had a good poo afterwards though so it must work with stomach/ bowel issues.

I use this product for my guinea pigs. It helps to keep their digestive tract working properly. It contains probitotics and vitamins and important electrolites which helps in stressfull situations or from illness such as upset tummies.. I also used this product when hand rearing my three baby guinea pigs by placing a pinch of this product in their food at every feed. This is also excellent to use this on sick animals that have stopped eating by syringe feeding them with liquid feed and by adding a pinch into their feed this helps to stimulate their appitite and helps to keep their blood glucose level up because it contains glucose. I use 1 scoop per 200ml of water and change daily for maxamum effect. You can use this on all animals.

I'm not sure how quickly this helps the dogs gut health, bought specifically for my dog with eat issues apparently it stems from the gut only purchased and used this one not seen a difference yet, the opening of the bottle it very small I have small hands and I struggled with it, comes with a little scoop which is good, no smell to it.

Great product and initially great but then my dog decided she didn’t like it! But when she did it was great firming up her poop and lessening her wind.

My dog has a delicate stomach and we had a lot of upset recently which we finally tracked down to various dog treats. I add this to the water bowl and she will actually drink more when it is added than when it is plain water. I notice a difference in her quite quickly and her appetite increases once she has had a good drink of this. I do notice the cat pinching the dog's water when this has been added too so there is something in there that they like/need! I mentioned to the vet that I was adding Avipro to her water bowl and he said to keep doing so, as it would really help settle her digestion after a bought of sickness.
