OSOMount Smart Plus Mount Universal in Car Holder for for iPhone 11 Pro / 11 / 10 / 8 / 7 / All Smartphones - Black

I purchased a Osomount Smart NFC but I received an Osomount Smart Plus which has no NFC capability at all.The instructions do not mention NFC nor does the packaging.Whats more the Osomount website does not mention NFC for the Smart Plus nor does it list a phone holder called Smart NFC.Having said that as a phone holder I am pleased with it.So far it seems good quality and quite sturdy.It is also less than the RRP for the Smart Plus on the Osomount website.

Ordered to replace a previous model that lasted years but was not wide enough for newer larger phones. This one has glued-on rubber grips on the arms of the mount, which fall off easily, rather than the grip being an integral part of the arm. I noticed that my phone was sliding forward out of the mount because one of them was missing, but after I found it on the floor and replaced it that issue has gone away. I have to re-position this grip occasionally, which is a bit annoying, but I can live with it.

I researched a few different mounts and settled upon this one because it is the newest mount by Osomount, the makers of the 360 grip mount that seems to be popular on Amazon. It keeps the same style of grip mechanism that the 360 grip mount has but adds NFC capability. NFC allows a compatible phone to perform actions automatically when its placed in the mount such as open a satnav app. Its worth noting that some phones have their NFC chips positioned at the top of the phone instead of the middle. If this is the case, the NFC wont work unless you grip the phone at the top as the range of NFC is so short.The rubber grip holds my phone firmly even when using a flip case. It uses a single self retracting arm which can extend up to 3.5 inches and provides enough force to hold the phone securely in place while still allowing for easy insert/removing of the phone by just pushing the phone against the arm as you insert/remove it. I can't emphasise enough how great this type of grip mechanism is, even if you decide to buy a different mount, buy one that uses this method of grip.The suction cup has a sticky coating which keeps the mount securely fastened to the windscreen with no chance of it falling off. Although it advertises that it even sticks to dashboards, I did have some trouble sticking it to my curved dashboard as there just wasn't enough flat area for the suction cup to create a tight seal with but I did eventually settle on placing it on a flatter area of the dashboard and it did stay on securely.Despite this, this mount meets all my expectations. It stays firmly in place on the windscreen and flatter areas of the dashboard, holds my phone securely yet at the same time is very easy to insert and remove. If you were thinking of buying the 360 grip mount but would like to use NFC, consider this one instead.

Received in good condition which is always a good start. Upon opening, the mount which is complete looks very sturdy and with one moving part which I suspect has no little cogs inside like some, I would think this will last longer than most.The NFC part is very easy to program (took me a few seconds to program) using NFC tools and put the phone into driving mode and connecting to the bluetooth hands free simply by placing the phone in the mount.The suction pad is the best I have come across and I will say if you are to swap the mount into different cars regular you might get cheesed off trying to get it off its that good.All in all this is by far the best mount I have bought thus far and with the added NFC make it top notch.

This mount is not suitable for occasional use. It sticks to the windscreen in a way that makes it extremely difficult to reposition or remove.Yes it won't fall off but the little tab which should break the suction on the glass is infective. If you want a mount that you intend to leave in position permanently this could be perfect but for me the adhesion to the screen is way over the top to support a lightweight phone.

These are excellent. I have one in each of my two cars.DO NOT BOTHER with cheap car mounts as my experience is that you will end up buying several of them and getting frustrated with their use each time.This product sticks incredibly well to the windscreen thanks to its sticky pad/suction pad combination. It is extremely easy to use.The addition of an NFC chip is a really nice feature which means that you can set your android mobile to select a profile as soon as you dock it into the mount. I have mine set so that it bypasses the lock screen and switches on bluetooth when mounted (which connects it to my car stereo automatically)... works a treat! Not sure if you can do anything similar with iPhones.I have recommended this to several friends and family, you will not be disappointed.

Like the fact my phone will fit in the folder with or without a case. No faffing around. Great suction. Sits nicely in the corner of my screen out of my way.

I have been lied to. There is absolutely no trace of nfc chip in it. This product should be removed from amazon until the description is fixed.
