As a DIYer, I recently installed the FIERYRED Trailer Spare Tire Mount with Lock on my utility trailer, and it has been a fantastic addition. This mount is incredibly sturdy and holds the spare tire securely in place.One of the things I appreciate about this tire mount is its robust construction. Product was good quality. But I understood in the description that it was galvanized. Not for me so I returned it.

Trailer for any length of time and you will eventually find yourself by the side of the road with a flat. Leaving without a spare is just an invitation for trouble. This item is relatively inexpensive, sturdily made, easily installed, and adaptable to multiple lug patterns. The hardware is oversized in length for many applications, so I cut the bolts down after installation to prevent interference with manipulating the spare.

The bracket is finished very nice. The welds are good. It is a nice addition to my trailer. The bolts are metric 17 mm for the 4 mounting bolts and 22 mm for the 2 the other 2 for the tire. The bolts are not of the same quality of the brackets but work. I am considering getting bolts to mount the tire that are the same size as my trailer lug nuts so I do not need to carry a specific tool. While the lock is a nice deterrent it is not really that useful. If someone wants to take your spare, breaking the lock is easy and also just remove the 4 mounting bolts. I will just toss a cable around the trailer frame and tire.
