ROBUST AND IT WORKS!
After going cross-eyed reading reviews of bread cutting aids, this one seemed to be OK. It is a quite heavy, robust item, just the right size for a 2lb loaf tin. Worked a treat and my bread came out with perfect even slices. If there is one small criticism, it is that the "guide posts" can move around - not by much but some slices could come out a bit thinner at one end. However, that's a small gripe, and gets better with practice.

Does what it says
Very easy to use, slices bread and cake evenly.

Works but messy to clean
It works reasonably well but there are so many places where breadcrumbs stick and Lodge it is a pain to clean it after. Not sure if the reason is static created by the plastic attracts them rather than allowing crumbs to fall (probably a rubbish theory) but, whatever the reason it is a pain.

The plastic sides are bendy enough to cut thicker slices
Really useful piece of kit. Sturdy enough to take a full loaf and makes it easy to cut straight slices. Plastic sides are rigid but flexible enough so you can cut a thicker slice if required. Needs a brush to clear out the crumbs. Found it so easy to use I bought another as a gift for a fellow bread maker.

Material unfit for purpose
As I always bake my own bread (tall breadmaker type loaves), bought this in the hope of being able to cut a straight slice. Obviously, it's a matter of choice, but gap could be slightly wider. The main issue, though, is that, unless you have perfect eyesight, you're at risk of shaving the plastic to add a bix of texture to your sandwich! Filed under 'money down the drain'! The idea is good, but metal would have been a more sensible material to have used.

Absolutely brilliant. now I can toast my homemade bread {it fits my toaster now}

Disappointing
The slice size is not adjustable and the first slice spacing is far too big.
