I am a 39 year old woman and was able to assemble this myself, much to the surprise of my husband. I didn’t have any issues with the hardware with one exception. On the small drawer (part N) that pulls up and down, both hinges broke in half. But otherwise I thought it was sturdy, decent quality. We got the Tobacco brown color and have a 65” TV on it, fits great

We bought this to replace an entertainment center for our den. The directions were easy to follow but we wouldn't say it was an easy process. It looks great and love the warmth it brings to the room.Definitely would recommend examining each piece as you unbox it. We found some small chips on the front side of the cabinet which was disappointing. It isn't worth boxing it all up to return. We'll just try to fix the chips ourselves. Be aware. This is the second piece we've ordered from this line and both have had areas with chips it them.For the price it still seems to be a good value maybe. It definitely isn't perfect.

The media could not be loaded.  Bottomline, it's a cheap piece of furniture that is a good value for the money spent. Ours looks okay and has a good functional design factor. Reasonably easy to assemble.The online picture made it look like a lighter pine to me, but it actually wasn’t and came looking much darker.What I didn’t like, is the wood is quite soft and easily scuffed, dented or marred, so I’d recommend putting down a blanket or towels for the assembly. The wood staining had quite a few imperfections that stood out noticeably making ours less attractive and cheaper looking than it actually is.There are no pilot holes for the back panel pieces to make screwing them on fast and easy. By my first 3 screws I could see they were all going to go in crooked without a pre-drilled pilot hole. So, I was surprised that the directions didn’t even mention using a drill bit to make your own with. The wood is soft, so I used a 1/16” bit for mine and the rest of the screws all went in straight, flat and easy against the pieces. The only readily available mount locations for the door magnets were on the bottom shelf, even though there were mounting guide holes on the top of the door, but none for the magnet on top. I used the pilot holes they had and made a paper template to mount mine on the top or topside for the doors to keep the bottom shelf clear of the magnet for whatever I put into it. I preferred not to have the door magnet in the way.It arrived well packed without damage and I thought to myself how whoever designed it and whoever packed it, both did a really great job!The instruction booklet was reasonable easy to read and follow. I found one of the steps out of sequence. It made the posts harder to screw in than it would have been with in flat on the floor, instead of teetering on the middle piece it had me put on before. Some of the identifying label pieces had either come off or didn’t get put on, but not a problem as the other piece or pieces had enough of their labels to eliminate any doubts about what the others were. Plus, the instruction book pictures also helped to identify pieces easily with. The instruction book pictures are good. I give it 4 Stars because of what I got for the money. 5 Stars, if the finish hadn’t had so many stain or wood imperfections.

Pros: - Good-quality material - Looks good once assembled; color matches what is picturedCons - Serious manufacturing errors complicate assemblyMy unit arrived in good condition and well- / tightly-packed. At first I thought assembly was going to be a breeze, as the pieces were clearly labeled and the drawers (assembled in the first step) were the sturdiest and the easiest to put together of any ready-to-assemble furniture I've owned. However, the instructions fail to mention that the vertical shelving panels in the center are different for left and right, nor do they do a good job of indicating front vs. back for any given piece. This meant I had to redo some work.Far worse, however, are the pre-drilled holes for the shelf pins. All of them are too small for the pins, meaning you have to either hammer the pins in and risk smashing your fingers holding the tiny pin, or you have to try to enlarge the holes and risk making them unusably big. I chose to hammer them in. This also means that the shelves are not really adjustable, because you cannot move the pins without a pair of pliers to remove them. The rear sets of pre-drilled holes also had twice as many holes as the front for seemingly no reason. This wasn't as much of a problem other than requiring a little more effort to line up which holes to use for a given shelf.Finally, the pre-drilled holes for the magnetic door stops were missing entirely, despite being alleged by the instructions. I chose not to install these, as the fairly nice hinges give enough initial resistance to hold the doors closed satisfactorily. I would recommend small felt pads for the cabinet doors to keep them from "clapping" shut.About half the pieces are held together with cam locks, and the other half with wood screws. The backing (which is almost the same color as the main finish, but is just rough plywood and not suitable for display) is held on with screws rather than tacks. I opted to use a drill for these to save time, and I didn't have any trouble with stripped holes. All-in-all I'd say the unit is well-constructed, and it feels sturdy when assembled.Other minor comments: - The drawers are serviceable but feel a bit rough to pull in and out; they don't track very smoothly. - The labels on each piece are very clear to read, but they also don't pull off the pieces easily or cleanly, so it is a good thing that they are all well-hidden.

Measurements are correct, however, I feel the dimensions in the picture do not match what I received. I assumed the cupboards would be slightly larger than they are. I can make do. One of the pieces had a large crack in it. Also one of the parts doesn't fit right. Contacted manufacturer, they advised to contact Amazon. Amazon was very good about helping out. Options on what to do. Quick service on that. Also the centre legs seem higher than the outside legs. Fixable. But I spent a lot of money to have to fix it all myself. It is a nice looking cabinet.

This stand fit my needs perfectly because of the dimensions, lack of glass doors and storage space. I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews that described assembly difficulties - I anticipated the instructions being challenging and was ready to work through that. What I was prepared for was the fact that in some of the pieces the pre-drilled holes were too big for the screws provided. For example, there are two part "E"s; the screws fit into one with no problem but would not tighten in the other because the pre-drilled holes were bigger. In the middle of assembly we had to go out to purchase something that would work.I can live with difficult directions but sending pieces that are impossible to assemble is simply not acceptable. I regret this purchase.

Wood is from pine, really soft, dents and warps easily. Fittings sometimes do not come together well as the wood splits and cracks. Particle board furniture from IKEA is stronger than the cheap wood they used in making this product, which is really over priced. I am pretty handy, and it took me a good 6 hours to put it together. I do not think I will buy any more Simpli Home products.

I like the new TV console, as well as the matching centre coffee table & 2 end tables. Top quality!
