We use this for measuring the weight for shipping boxes that are sometimes large. I gave 4 stars because it is not accurate for very small items since then you need fractions of an ounce. It works with and without a cord which is nice. We keep it on a bench plugged in but for very large boxes we can unplug it and place it on the floor.

Sending this back. Can't comment on it's functionality since as soon as I set it up I realized I don't like it at all. The cord barely stretches. I wanted it on my desk and the platform is right next to my desk on the floor but the cord will not make it. It's useless. And to use the power supply, it plugs into the display causing even further issues with trying to locate it conveniently. It should plug into the base. So returning it for a wireless display model.
