I really don't understand how people can describe this as a good book.It isn't clear in many areas. Take the introduction. It tries to define the fluid based on Mohr's circle and unless you have done a unit in structures, you will not know what this is. He doesn't care about explaining it further, only he assumes you know it.Take Chapter 5. He provides a fairy clear argument about how to perform dimensional analysis, but when he explains how to non-dimensionalise the navier stokes equations, the explanation is brief and the reader is left confused. Finally, to see detailed solutions, you need to purchase another book, which is frustrating. Other authors, such as Pope's book on turbulence, provide the detailed solutions for free online so you can actually learn from them. What is the point of buying a textbook to learn and then not having access to the solution details to learn from? Too many authors believe adding 1000s of questions means the book is better when this isn't necessarily the case.
