Works perfectly on a 2001 Jeep TJ. The original lock just slipped right in when the key is inserted. The latch fits in the original center console with no modification.

Exactly what I needed. Took about 15 to install and that includes removing the old one taking the lock out and installing in this one. I have been able to lock my console since purchase

Works great in my Jeep but you have to push down hard to open the armrest I think it's just a Jeep thing.
