Great and comfortable
Love the feel and the extra sound canceling but i left them behind my tv and they were hot and i looked at the bottom of the leather and it looked shiny do these things leak the gel if they got too hot? Idk if the shiny residue is just a manufacturing imperfection but please get back to me

Better than OEM?
So a few notable things I've found is yes it changes the sound of the headset. Personally I like OEM sound, but perhaps I'm just use to it or need to change my EQ. Also the cooling gel is very nice and feels great. The quality is top notch. The isolation is very very good, I couldn't even hear someone knocking on my room door until they started pounding on it 🤣Overall I'd say that the cushions are all around worth it, and have a very easy install. Plus you'd have 2 sets after purchasing these (oem and wc). The biggest issue is the sound alterations. (Just change EQ) solid 8/10

Product Review: Wicked Cushions Headphone Replacements for Astro a50X Headphones
OverviewI recently purchased a brand new headset, the Astro a50X, which was quite expensive. I was initially torn between this model and the SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless, but the Astro a50X won me over due to its great mic, which helps eliminate clutter on my desk. However, I quickly discovered that the stock headphone covers were uncomfortable to the point where I almost considered returning the headset. The ProblemThe stock headphone covers on the Astro a50X were not up to par. They caused significant discomfort, which was disappointing given the high price of the headset. This discomfort almost led me to return the headset, despite its other excellent features. The SolutionFortunately, I remembered that nearly every reviewer mentioned Wicked Cushions as a great alternative. I decided to give them a try and ordered a set from Amazon a few days ago. The results were nothing short of impressive.Performance and ComfortThe Wicked Cushions headphone replacements have made a world of difference. The improvement in both sound quality and comfort is like night and day. These cushions should honestly come standard with every Astro a50X purchase. The enhanced comfort has made long listening sessions much more enjoyable, and the sound quality has noticeably improved.Suggestions for ImprovementWhile I am thoroughly impressed with the current product, I believe there is room for expansion. It would be fantastic to see more color options, especially in the SteelSeries color variants, to offer even more customization for users.ConclusionIn summary, the Wicked Cushions headphone replacements are a must-have for Astro a50X owners. They offer a significant upgrade in comfort and sound quality for a very reasonable investment. If you own an Astro a50X or are considering purchasing one, I highly recommend getting a pair of Wicked Cushions to enhance your experience.

Heavy duty
I’ll start by saying I literally just got my A50’s gen 4 for Xbox not even a week ago. Had 2 pairs of A40’s since the Xbox one, so I’m a big fan of them, came from turtle beach before. The factory ear cups are great, they don’t get hot necessarily, just kinda stay warm, but you never sweat wearing them. I like the fact that these have the leather outer and inner, less chance of it the fibers getting frayed over time like the stock. I bought them with the intent to try out the cooling factor of course but mainly to keep my stock ones in mint condition as a back up. First thing I noticed is they are definitely heavier than the others, i personally enjoy that, makes for a tighter fit, and the best part I’d say is it makes it almost twice as noise canceling for outside sounds. Now the sound is the main part of course, it does change it definitely. I’ve seen people say they don’t like it because it sounds muffled, the thing is, it creates a much better seal between the cup and your head, therefore; less sound dispersion, which causes a tremendous increase of bass. I’ve not been too pleased with the sound depth of the A50’s after coming from the A40’s with optical, but through a lot of tweaking the EQ on not only the Astro command center, but the Dolby access app as well, since it comes with Dolby Atmos, you can get is sounding very good for a wireless headset. Again I’m a fan of the bass so it sounds great to me, if it sounds muffled you may need to turn your bass down. I still use the optical cable with my base although I didn’t see a world of difference when I plugged it in like I did for the A40 mixamp. For anyone willing to go down this path, GadgetryTech has a perfect walkthrough of the EQ profiles for this specific earcup on YouTube, even used his code. The cooling factor is noticeable but not after too long I’d say, just take em off for a bit to charge and they will be cool again however. Overall, they do exactly what I bought them for so I can put 5 stars happily, we’ll see after the first week or so of use.

Expensive but adds comfort to A50s. Not enough sound isolation. Gets in the way of charging dock!!
These are the type of earpads that should already be included with the expensive A50s. Its thickness and material adds a lot to the comfort. For thick earpads, I was disappointed that it didn't have nearly enough sound isolation as I'd like. Also, I was having trouble charging my headset on the dock and I found out it's because the cushions are too thick and the headset is not able to be placed correctly on the charging sites. Very annoying to experience. Expensive earpads. Should be $20 max.
