Pros:This is my third 5 year journal, and it is by far the best (so far). I am a month and a half into it and I am so sorry I didn’t get this one in the first place. It lays open nicely when I write in it. It has 6 roomy lines to write on so I don’t feel like I am writing in shorthand or text style. The hard cover is perfect for attaching a special pen (see photo). Also, it looks pretty sitting on my night stand.Cons:The only con is it arrived slightly damaged. The cover had all the indentations at the top that you see in the photo. I did not remove a star because that was due to shipping and not anything that the journal lacks. I do not mind it too much because I am attaching my special pen up there anyway, and it will eventually get dinged in its 5 years with me. But it might be something that they want to correct when shipping these in the future.Why not a regular journal?I do have regular journals that I can occasionally go into depth and detail, but this is my everyday journal. I can see what I was doing on this day many years ago, just like the Facebook “memories” feature that I love so much. But this one is private, just for me, so nothing has to be Facebook “whitewashed”. Also, it is so easy and quick that is does not feel like just another “to do” on a long list of things that need done. It is all for me. As a stay at home mom, I want something that is just for me and has nothing to do with being a mom. Yet it isn’t overwhelming. I feel like my days run into each other, and before my 5 year journal days, I could never remember what I did with my time. This gives me a very real sense of my life and what it is actually like day to day. And when I read back on it, it jogs my terrible memory and I can recall what that day was like. It may not sound important, but it is to me because this is my real everyday life.If a 5 year journal is for you, pick your color and enjoy this one.

We just started recording our daily events in this 5-year journal. Looking forward to using it every day for the next five years. So much better than those "One Line-a-Day" journals. There are six lines of space for each day--room enough for making a note about the weather, any significant happenings of the day, etc. Wish we'd started using one of these 20 years ago! P.S. The ribbon bookmark is a nice touch--helps keep our place in the book.

I'm inspired to write daily since the sections are a modest size, and it'll be great fun to revisit them on the same days in the coming years. Wish I'd started this practice years ago... And I picked a great color too.

This is so well made, very sturdy and plenty of room for your daily entry. I just wish there wasn't a bunch of pages in the beginning with a bunch of nonsense; for the price maybe the "how to journal" and the "authors" personal notes should come in a separate booklet. I covered them with fun stickers. :)

My family has been pressuring me for years to make a journal. This one isn’t as overwhelming as ones which prompt you to use a whole page. I find that the amount of lines is perfect to how much I do in a typical day. There is space in the back of the book to go into more detail about special events or other things. I love this journal so much and writing in it has become a beloved habit. 10/10

I have failed at other journals in the past but am finding this quick 5 line idea is working. And I like the idea that next year I'll be able to see at a glance how things line up with the previous year. This book is plenty sturdy, paper quality is good and thick and I'm sure the book will hold up for all five years and then more years for reference. I got a brown one and it looks great on my shelf.
