Love this box, but it gets 4 stars due to the high price. Paying an extra $12 to store a gift is a steep price to pay, BUT because this box is so pretty and high quality, the recipient can definitely use it again to store other items. I also don't think the little slit for the ribbon is necessary. In my personal opinion the box would have been better without it. All in all, a great box for special gift giving!

It's hard to believe that a pretty, elegant box could come in a flat package, but it does. This box is made so that it arrives flat for the buyer to fold up into a lovely box. The sides stick to the front and back via triangular glue strips. The glue is covered with a waxy paper when you receive the box. Once you remove the paper, you simply pull the sides up at the same time as the back and front. The glue patches stick to the front or back to firmly hold the box together.This box kit comes with a matching silk ribbon and a lovely little greeting card. The ribbon ties onto the box through slots cut in the top covers, one on each flap. There is plenty of ribbon included to make a very pretty box. The only thing about this box that didn't make sense to me is that one of the slots in the large flap doesn't match up with the slot in the smaller flap. It seems as though they should match up to tie the two flaps together. As it is, I was able to tie the ribbon around both flaps, but it took up a bit of the ribbon that I would prefer to use in the bow. Not a big deal. It just seemed odd.In the absence of the ribbon, there are magnets in the box top flaps that hold the box closed. The two flaps both fold away from the box to open it from the top. It seems to be well constructed from heavy cardboard, so I expect it will last a while, depending on how heavily used it is and what is stored in it, of course.The color of the box is a sort of pale gold. Otherwise it is very plain. This allows the giver or the owner to decorate the box, if desired. The box is a nice big size for gift giving, being large enough, I believe, to hold a small wine bottle and two stemmed glasses. I would purchase this again if I needed an attractive way to package a gift.

This box exceeded expectations. I love the magnet feature. At first it didn't seem to magnetize well... that is because I had the smaller portion on top of the magnets and it should be the other way around. The ribbon adds a beautiful touch. Looks very beautiful yet simple. I really would recommend this box. It can be used over and over again.

This was better than I was expecting. It is easy to put together and sturdy. It looks really nice, I’m looking forward to using it for Christmas. Four stars because I’m not certain this is the greatest value for the price, but I would still recommend.

I got this as a gift box for a medium sized womens jacket. It was a bit of a gamble, as I was not sure if it would fit well, or if the box would even be strong enough. The box worked out great though! It was plenty roomy enough to fit the jacket, which had a bit of puffiness to it.The box assembly was straight foward and took all of 30 seconds. You just unfold the box, peel off 4 stickems in the connecting corners, and push it together. The cardboard sides were quite thick and had very little give to them. It kept its shape perfectly, even with the heavy jacket inside. The magnet closure was convenient and the ribbon it came with was nice quality, though very creased from being folded up in the packaging. The creases were hardly noticeable however, once it was tied into a bow. If I'd had more time I would have ironed out the ribbon a bit, but again, it was not really that noticeable when tied. This even came with a nice little gift card (which was also surprisingly nice quality for what it was), and some shredded style packing material, which I didn't use, opting for regular tissue paper instead.I was impressed with the whole kit, and will definitely be getting more of these to use as gift boxes in the future.

This gift box worked absolutely perfectly for a recent gift of an iPad Mini, an Apple Pencil, and an iPad case (all in their original packaging), which were gifted at once to my wife. Everything fit in nicely, and the box made it seem so much more special than gift wrap or god forbid, a gift bag with tissue hanging out. It added a real element of class to the gift and made her surprise and happiness shine even more. It's high quality all around. The box itself is very sturdy, it folds out but folds together snugly, and the yellow ribbon offers a nice color complement to the deep royal blue. While I didn't use the enclosed gift card/envelope, they are also nice quality and add value to this really solid value box. Highly recommended.

We got this to hold some photo prints we had printed as a gift. It was bigger then I expected but was very nice. Very high quality. It came with a ribbon, and a card to go along with it. We got black and it came with a light yellow ribbon. It was a little tricky to figure out how to tie it together but once we did it turned out great. Great value!

This box is a great deluxe item which will enhance your gift to the next level. I ordered this box to gift a scarf to my girlfriend and she loved the box more than the scarf. She uses it as a jewelry box now. It is a great quality made with magnetic close and open cover and comes with a ribbon. Great buy and very recommended for gifting to the loved ones.
