This is the professionals tire- extremely well made and race durable, I have raced on these tires for over 20 years with only one puncture! A flat tire can derail hours of training and preparation for your important event, why take a chance?

Item was delivered quickly and met all expectations. Some of the best, all around tubular in the market. Good balance bewteen thread wear, resistance to cuts and suppleness. Over 2000 miles on two sets... No problems yet.

The first set I owned eventually punctured due to a shard of glass before the tread had worn down. I was able to get home with some pit stop. Replaced those with gp4000s which were great until after 6 months or so developed large cracks on all sides that only increased in size- if you were so inclined you could grab a piece and tear the top layer off. The gp4000s never failed I just replaced them due to wear, which seemed too early to me. The first set of competitions I had installed at a shop, they lasted about 2-3 months until they for seemingly no reason failed around the valve stem. This I could not repair with pit stop- thanks uber.... I decided I would replace the next pair myself to insure no extra force was applied to the valve area while installing, or they weren't pre stretched improperly... This pair failed at the same area on the first ride. Still can't figure out why exactly, but I'm not ready to go through the whole process again... I think I'll steer clear of competitions from now on. I vaguely remember reading similar reviews a while back, only thinking this must have been user error...

Just the best tubular from continental, great for racing. They grip great on dry and wet roads, and let you go around corners with full confidence.

Ich bin mit dem Produkt äusserst zufrieden. Ich bin Tourenfahrer und fahre etwa 5000Km pro Saison. Im Gegensatz zu einem Laufrad mit herkömmlichen Schlauch und Pneu, ergeben sich mit diesem Schlauchreifen erhebliche Vorteile. Ich hatte bisher aus sicherheitstechnischer Überlegung jeweils einen Conti Contakt Reifen verwendet, damit ist es sicher, auch auf Naturstrasse zu fahren. Allerdings mit erheblichen Geschwindigkeitseinbussen gegenüber dem Schlauchreifen Rennrad Competition. Darum habe ich mich nun entschieden einen Schlauchreifen aufzuziehen, der sich nur für gute Strassenverhältnisse eignet jedoch durch sein niedriges Gewicht und die guten Laufeigenschaften, eine wesentlich höhere Geschwindigkeit ermöglicht. Ich bin im Durchschnitt 1,5 bis 2,5 Km/h schneller, die Beschleunigung ist verbessert aber auch die Gutmütigkeit und die Sicherheit wurde etwas weniger, bzw. werde ich mit diesem Reifen, keine Naturstrassen mehr befahren. Um so schneller man fährt um so grösser wird der bessere Speed im Vergleich mit dem herkömmlichen Setup. Bei 35Km/h ist der Unterschied schon 3Km/h. Zur Reifenmontage gibt es zu sagen, einfach das Anleitungsmaterial (Video) zum Produkt schauen, dann ist es überhaupt kein Problem. Ich verwende eine herkömmliche 28" Alufelge (günstiger Laufradsatz), auch das ist vollkommen ausreichend um gute bzw. bessere Resultate (Performance) zu erzielen. Ich kann das Produkt allen Tourenfahrern und sportlichen Radfahrern weiterempfehlen, die hauptsächliche auf gut ausgebauten Strassen/ Routen unterwegs sind.
