Inspiring Scifi artist!
I absolutely love JH's artwork, and have used them as front covers for several of my books. I first came across his work while reading one of Jack McDevitt's books, and looked up the artist, as his work is so unique. I found this book utterly inspiring, with many paintings I've not seen before, and all of them make me dream of science fiction, making me want to read and write more... Even as I speak I'm reading John Scalzi's Old Man's War, which of course has a cover by John. Sublime artist!

A sumptuous edition
John Harris is a British painter and illustrator, best known for working in the science fiction genre. His paintings have been used on book covers for many science fiction authors, including Isaac Asimov, Frederik Pohl, Ben Bova and Orson Scott Card – but to name a few. Harris produces paintings with the common theme of colossal scale and space. This current addition of his work is just excellent introduction to his work, and shows the great and vivid imagination he has. The marvellously illustrated edition is worthy of a very good five stars.
