Top product
Absolutely brilliant product, looks like a mini air conditioner, ours is in a long, narrow kitchen which has a small radiator at one end and a cold area near the window. This unit is fitted above the window and gives loads of heat, makes the whole room warm and cosy, as it blows directly over the sink, I use the oscillating facility which spreads the heat around. The remote control is a real boon. We did have to have a power source fitted above a kitchen cabinet but well worth it. Update, had this now for three years and still going strong, only little problem has been the oscillator stopped working, otherwise brilliant

Better than smaller "downflow" heaters - this really does heat up a room
We've installed this in our smallish bathroom as the previous "downflow" heater had a tendency to switch off (as an 'elf and safety feature apparently) just as you needed the warm air flow after stepping out of the shower.Having read several Amazon reviews this was ordered and fitted very quickly (it only requires two accurately placed wall screws and a mains plug). Obviously in a bathroom environment it must be placed out of Zone 1 and Zone 2 'splash' areas and must not be reachable by hand (that's why other heaters have a pull cord). Luckily this heater has a remote control so you don't have to put your hand anywhere near it. In a different setting you can press the buttons on the unit instead of / as well as the remote control. In use it's straightforward enough: press a button on the remote (which is different to the one shown in the product picture, much smaller, thinner) to turn it on then two more blips to switch on the 1KW and then the 2KW heater setting. It beeps as you do this and the controls light up on the heater too so you know what you've set it to.Without touching the temperature settings (up / down only) it seems to default to a maximum of 49 degrees Centigrade before automatically switching off the heating aspect (the fan keeps going though). If you do press the up/down temperature button it starts from its previous setting (ie you set it to 35 degrees yesterday, well that's where it starts from today). In a bathroom, coming out of the shower, 49 degrees is just fine but before you go in it can be a bit warm so I switch it on initially at 35 degrees and bump it up to 40-something before getting in the shower. The airflow is about the same as a small downflow heater but because the fan is much longer in this unit it warms things up a lot quicker. It's about the same noise level too, nothing to worry about not even at 6am. In a shop or workshop you'd not even notice the 'noise' of the fan. When it's time to go press the OFF button (the same one you turned it ON with) and it then switches off the heating feature but keeps the fan going for another 30 seconds to cool down the efficient PTC heating element to prolong its life. After 30 seconds it beeps and switches off - but still displays the current room temperature. So 4-stars, but not 5-stars - why?Firstly I'm a bit disappointed with the remote control, it is very small and I can't seem to source an additional one in case this dinky thing gives up the ghost; it is being used daily, twice a day after all.Secondly, I'd like to switch off that beeping but I can't. After a while it gets a bit nerve-jangly if you muck about with the temperature setting as much as I do (described above).I do like the way it cools down before switching off, and the fact it stays 'on' and displays the room temperature.I like its efficiency in heating up my bathroom and not switching off when its not supposed to like my old heater used to.It's not particularly small (about twice the size of my previous heater) and as several other reviewers have remarked, looks like the indoor part an air conditioning unit. It looks just fine on the wall of my bathroom, not too big, not out of place.Would I buy this again? Like a shot. A great heater that does the job very nicely and maybe the beeps will grow on me!

Deformed, became noisy/vibrated eventually breaking the rear hanging bracket
Very quickly, after say a month it began making a vibrating noise whilst the front flap gradually deformed. The noise gradually got louder over the next few months and could be heard throughout the house. It was clearly getting too hot and melting the casing which was causing it to vibrate against the inner body. Eventually, after a year of operation, the vibrating broken the rear plastic hook which was used to hang the heater to the wall. Added to this, the remote is extremely complicated to use and programme and every time you have a power cut, you have to reset/reprogramme it (it take 10-15 minutes and you have to refer back to instructions so hold onto them!). Garbage, a waste of money.

Compact sleek design
I ordered 2 and both work great. Nice compact sleek design. Makes the salon look nice instead of clunky oil heaters everywhere

Good little heater but remote control too fiddly
It works well and warms our conservatory quickly (albeit with ambient temperatures still about 12c) and looks quite smart. However, it does make a little more noise than I'd like. But the biggest issue I have, like many others on here, is the remote control instructions. They are far too convoluted. A single button that cycled through off/1000w/2000w/cool/off would be sufficient for most people. It doesn't help that there are mistakes in the instructions either.
