Letterland Stories Level 1 (Letterland at Home) Paperback – 1 Aug. 2010

This arrived today and my 4 year old pre-schooler CAN READ!! She is so excited and before closing her eyes tonight, said, "I'm really happy"... Honestly, her delighted little face, her shining eyes as for the first time she read whole sentences. Do I need to add that I can't recommend this book highly enough?! There are four stories, that become progressively more taxing but not off-puttingly so. Just enough to make my little reader thrilled with her achievement. We have dipped into letterland quite a lot so she is familiar with the characters. This was the perfect bridge from letters to words and simple sentences. Thank you, Letterland!

Excellent first reader (short, one-line sentences with repetitive spelling patterns to aid learning). Although simple, interesting and humorous "story line."

Simple repetitive sentences based around the letterland characters which my children love. It's designed for children who are reading for the very first time, so not sure what other reviewers expect in terms of interest, they aren't likely to be up to Shakespeare yet ^^. Does what it's designed to do.

My 4 year old son loves this book and the beauty of it is that you can wipe it clean!

I am very pleased with this item i chose letter land as i remember it from my childhood this has been bought for my 3 year old daughter.

Bought this on the strength of previous Letterland A-Z hardback book we had an it 10 years ago. Wasn't that impressed, very very simple sentences, which didn't hold interest of 4 year old for long. Have bought a set of Julia Donaldson Phonic Books instead.
