Yes Chef
This was a great movie! It was a fresh take on both food movies, and a thriller/horror movie. It is a bit of a slow burn, but it has a good payoff, so it is worth that slow burn to get too the end. If you want something different give this choice of The Menu a try!

Fun Movie But Hate the Cheeseburger Promo
One of the most original movies I've seen in awhile. The world of fine dining and its pretentiousness was ripe for satire. I have always hated the preciousness of so-called "fine dining."Ralph Fiennes is great as usual and Taylor Joy hands in an intelligent performance. Kudos to Hong Chau as well as the loyal, murderous assistant. The only thing that I found hard to swallow (pun intended) was Joy's outspokenness. She was supposed to be an escort and escorts usually don't speak their minds or put down their "bosses" the way she did. The guy was a prick but I have a hard time believing she'd tell him off the way she did (except for that moment when she realizes that he knew she was supposed to die with the rest of them). The other thing that bothered me was the cheeseburger. Yes, it makes sense in the context of the film but I hate how the opposite of fine dining is the cheeseburger. I hate fast food so I wish the film didn't go from one extreme to the other - from dissing fine dining and elevating fast food. It's like everything else these days - polarization. As a middle class person, I would have liked a chicken salad, thank you very much.

A Thought-Provoking Culinary Thriller!
I recently watched The Menu, and it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations! This film expertly blends dark comedy, thriller elements, and social commentary in a truly unique way. The premise revolves around a select group of diners who embark on a lavish and mysterious culinary journey at an exclusive restaurant. What unfolds is a deliciously twisted tale that keeps you on the edge of your seat. From the outset, the film captivates with its stunning cinematography and impressive production design. The restaurant setting, with its exquisite décor and meticulously designed dishes, creates an immersive atmosphere that draws you in and makes you feel like part of the experience. The attention to detail in each course is breathtaking—it's as much a visual feast as it is a narrative one!The performances in The Menu are top-notch. Anya Taylor-Joy delivers a compelling and relatable performance, perfectly balancing intrigue and skepticism. Ralph Fiennes shines as the enigmatic chef, bringing a charisma that is both charming and chilling. The supporting cast also delivers memorable performances, contributing to the film's overall tension and humor. What I particularly appreciated was how the movie deftly examines themes of privilege, obsession with perfection, and the disconnect between art and commerce. It raises poignant questions about the culinary world while also serving up some shocking twists and dark humor that kept me guessing throughout. The bonus content included in this release is a fantastic addition for fans. Behind-the-scenes footage, director commentary, and interviews with the cast provide valuable insights into the creative process and the film's inspirations. It's a treat for anyone who enjoyed the film and wants to delve deeper into its making. In conclusion, The Menu is a brilliant blend of suspense, wit, and thought-provoking commentary. It’s not just a movie; it’s an unforgettable experience that lingers long after the credits roll. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a film that offers more than just entertainment—it serves up a full-course meal of ideas and emotions! Five stars for this culinary thriller! 🌟🍽️

DISAPPOINTING, DRIVEL, LACKING IN CREATIVTY, SILLY, STUPID
I waited for months to see this movie on Prime and had great expectations because Ray Feines was in it, as he is a masterful actor; however, I was very underwhelmed. I see that lots of people enjoyed it, save a few, but I thought it was a waste of my time. While Feins is good as always, the movie itself is pure, unadulterated nonsense. The beginning was very exciting as everyone gathered to go out on the boat to the restaurant, and even the first and second courses were expectantly exciting, but after that, it deteriorated into the macabre. At first, I thought that the chef was somehow serving human meat on the menu of perhaps his bad guests or enemies, but it was more subtle than that. These were guests who had offended him overall, but had no idea they had done so. He was just a sick, lonely, desperate man seeking approval for his mediocre work that he and only he thought was superior work. I was just about done when the chef wannabe shot himself in front of the guests. Worse though, was that while a few guests protested and spoke up, they were all a bunch of scared, defeated morons who sat quietly and allowed themselves to be turned into s'mores and burned alive. This movie does not depict human behavior. Humans fight to survive. The only person who was strong and fought was the uninvited female guest. OMG! Who thinks of this stuff? I'd label this movie a big fat LOSER!!

My Favorite Movie
Very dark comedy with novel concept. Ralph Finnes was brilliant, as always. Nicholas Holt was hilarious and Anna Joy Taylor was wonderful as an escort who was not supposed to be there. If I was prone to include spoilers, there are many hilarious scenes where you just say WTF?
