Does not cover
As some reviews stated, this runs out quickly. Had a metal bar stool that the arms were well worn. The can lasted for about half the stool. The paint is so thin if you hold it less than two feet away it will quickly run. Obviously by spraying two feet away much of the spray is going into the air and not hitting the stool. Once dry it did not even cover. You really need to paint the item first with a complementary color and the use this product to add texture. Will need at least three more cans to do two coats. Even then I am not sure it will cover. What a waste of money.Update: After adding another coat the stools looked beautiful. The product dries to a nice finish. Feels like fine sandpaper. While it still did not cover, if you are painting something that is close to the same color you can miss spots on purpose to save on paint and will not be able to tell the difference. I revised my rating to 3 stars to reflect how nice the finished product looks

Rust-Oleum beats anyone else hands down. Does the job as intended

Color more grey than wrought iron
Unfortunately, the color is too grey vs black. I tried to return or exchange, but it won't let me and I'm stuck with a $10 can of spray paint i cannot use

Ok but not great
It takes a lot of paint get completely coat anything. It does have a very rough texture when complete. I used it to paint a couple of ugly plastic planters. I used a different color than the one listed. It worked fine but I would not go to that much trouble again. Rust-loeum makes other spray paints with primer built in that will adhere to plastic among just about everything else and in many cases will cover in one coat. I have to primer, lightly sand, and re-apply coats - one can at a time. The result was good and if it is only one item or the texture is import than it works fine, just buy more than you think you will need.

Clogged spray head problems
I bought these for use on my model railroad. Sprayed over a gray prmer, they simulate a blacktop road surface with a slightly gritty texture, providing a more realistic imprression of the real world. However, I have had repeated problems with clogging. Not sure if it is the ‘grit’ in the paint or simply paint drying in the top of the spray container. I have tried cleaning the nozzle, but the problem seems to be where the spray head is inserted in the pressurized container. Of course this renders the remaining paint in the can totally useless. While nozzles do sometimes clog on non-textured spary paints, this type seems much more prone to clogging.
