a great album..

This probably my favourite album. I love it.I Iike a lot of Ketil Bjornstad's music, but this is really special.

If you already enjoy Bjornstad's work, simply go ahead and buy this. It has Palle Danielsson generating his usual warm,earthy bass, and Marilyn Mazur on some varied and sympathetic percussion. If all this is new to you, ask yourself what you're looking for. Is it a piano trio where nothing is rushed or frantic, where the notes are used sparingly, even lovingly, to enhance beguilingly simple melodies, which appear to float gently past you; where bass and percussion provide a burnished golden shimmer, like sunlight on a lazy river, while the piano provides sleepy drifts of melody, mixed with some icily crystal notes. This is not music to dance to, and preferably not to use as wallpaper, but as your own special personal treat, to sink into it alone and undisturbed, and feel it massage away your tensions and anxiety. Go on: spoil yourself.

lose your mind with this CD, so beautiful - so balanced - moved me like nothing else I have ever heard. I am sitting listening to it and I am truly stunned....a new experience leading to many many more I am sure.

Some fine moments but, and it's a matter of personal taste, I prefer Ketil's work on The Rainbow.

Non sono un musicista quindi posso solo commentare l'ascolto "emotivo", il disco è suonato e registrato molto bene, la musica è rilassante senza diventare noiosa e le sonorità non sono troppo nordiche (anche se a me piacciono molto le sonorità nordiche), non stiamo parlando di un capolavoro ma sicuramente di un disco molto bello.

Zuerst mal das Positive: die Aufnahme Qualität ist hervorragend, an einer guten Anlage klingen alle Instrumente schön plastisch, deutlich differenzierbar, Dynamik ist allerdings wenig vorhanden. Nun zur Musik: alles gefällig, zum Träumen einladend, aber auch irgendwie beliebig, keine Höhepunkte bzw. Kontrapunkte - beinahe etwas langweilig, etwas Abwechslung bringen nur die wie immer eigenwillige, aber tolle Marylin Mazur und das akzentuierte Bassspiel von Danielsson, Bjornstadt aber enttäuscht mich mit seinem plätschernden Klavierspiel (nun schon die zweite CD von ihm, die mich nicht überzeugt nach Seafarers Song) Bewertung : 3 -4 Sterne

Cet album (à défaut des autres que j'ai aussi écouté mais moins aimé) est cool et bien fait. L'enregistrement aussi, sur une bonne chaine hifi, c'est "précis-précis-beau"L'album est très mélodique mais pas du tout nian-nian (ce que je reproche aux autres albums, un peu trop facile et moins technique)Pour ceux qui aiment Brad Medhau 3°volume, c'est dans le genre.

Per gli amanti del genere e per chi apprezza Bjornstad in particolare un disco da non perdere, ottima qualita dellla registrazione per una serie di brani tranquilli e rillassanti.

Un album de Ketil Bjornstadt légèrement qui appelle plutôt à l'ambient, qui s'écoute donc en lisant un livre ou en faisant la sieste.

ケティル・ビヨルンスタは静寂の作曲家であり、ピアニストだと思う。極限まで音数を削ってもダレないし、アルバムを通して聴いても飽きることがない。こんな芸当ができる人は、なかなかいないと思う。ただしECMからリリースされてきた諸作は、チェロとのデュオだったり、チェロ・ギター・ドラムスとのカルテットだったりして、メインストリームを好むジャズファンには聴いてもらえないようなパーソネルだった。この作品では「ふつうのピアノトリオだと、弾き過ぎてしまうのではないか」と、ご本人が避けてきたピアノトリオが実現している。マリリン・マズールはパーカッション的な演奏であるが、ピアニストでもあることからか、絶妙な間合いの取り方で曲を引き立てている。パレ・ダニエルソンはキース・ジャレットやミシェル・ペトルチアーニなどとの共演歴のある手練れのベーシストで、私はこのアルバムでのプレイが一番好きだ。ふだんメインストリームしか聴かない人でも、抵抗なく聴けると思う。

wahnsinnig schönes album in allerbester abmischung. macht süchtig und hilft den grauen alltag zu verdrängen! musik voller wärme und tiefe! großartig!

Es ist ja schon viel geschrieben worden. Ich kann mich den positiven Rezensionen nur anschließen. Ich habe diese CD jetzt fast drei Jahr und höre sie immer und immer wieder gerne.Kein Kitsch, einfach nur schön, ruhig, für mich entspannend...

評価は個人の好みになってしまうので難しいところですが、今回は星3つ。もっと静寂や深みを感じるだろうことを期待していたので、意外に明るく、普通のBGMにも聞こえるメロディに、ややがっかり。
