I'm still giving them 5 stars.even if the bamboo fan's calligraphy has a highlighter cross out. Some.reviews say stiff. Well, to open slide a few.folds open with thumb then sharp flip down. To close, smack the fan wood side on palm like smacking a ruler in your hand.These are very sturdy. Beautiful designs. It's hard to find fans this large for this good price.

Very pretty sturdy satin, not for tai chi
These are very pretty and sturdy but...they dont snap open for tai chi, so I had to return them. But they're pretty

They’re really really large
They make beautiful decorations. They’re very well-made and sturdy. I’m sure you will enjoy them and if you use them to find yourself with they create a wonderful breeze.

Stiff
These are very stiff and not very easy to close but I like the size and they offer more relief for hot flashes or just being hot in general.They won’t fit in my purse but that’s ok. I’ll see if they will loosen up with more use.
