I’m impressed that SHANGZHAOYUAN is still manufacturing older-style motherboards, making it possible for people like myself to refurbish aging PCs with components that still have life left in them. Installing this motherboard in my old tower PC felt like giving it a “triple bypass” – extending its lifespan for a few more years. The product page on Amazon included a helpful link to download a PDF with the motherboard’s specifications, which I found useful. For those unfamiliar with the process of swapping motherboards, there are plenty of online guides and videos, though I personally opted for tips from ChatGPT instead of watching tutorials. The motherboard feels sturdy and well-made. While I would have considered a full ATX or EATX model if one had been available (for the extra SATA connections and additional features), this smaller board doesn’t lack any essential functionality. I was especially pleased to find an M.2 NVMe slot included. After installation, my older Intel i5 CPU, GTX 970 GPU, and DDR3 RAM are all running smoothly in the new motherboard. If you have the right components, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this motherboard – it performs exceptionally well.

I purchased this motherboard with a bit of trepidation because I could not find any useful information about it. I did manage to find a YouTube video of something like it which was promising. My Asus itx board gave up the ghost last week and left me with a i5-4460 cpu, 16gb of sd3-ram, 1tb M.2 ssd, x2 sata drives, itx case and 600watt PSU. The problem I had was there was no new LGA 1150 boards available made by the top manufacturers only secondhand ones on Ebay. So I took the plunge and purchased the Shangzhaoyuan H97 Strong motherboard. It came well packed in a nice box inside x1 motherboard, x1 face-plate and x1 sata cable no manual or any information. On closer inspection of the board I found it was of excellent build quality and the lay out of components reminiscent of most itx boards and to my surprise every component had connection details etched on the board without further a do I installed all my components without any problems. I then connected a keyboard, mouse, ethernet cable,hdmi monitor and usb drive with Windows 11 Pro installation files said a couple of prays and switched the power on and within seconds it was in to the installation process. At the end of the process and a couple of updates later I was using a very fast computer. Clever people these chinese. Don't worry about purchasing these unbranded motherboards they are excellent quality and they work with no problems. Highly recommended.

Really great motherboard. The additional Nvme capability is useful. My only complaint, and the reason for a 4 rating instead of a 5, is because the motherboard doesn't come with a CMOS battery. You have to buy a 2 pin CMOS battery if you want to make BIOS changes and have them saved when power is removed from the motherboard.

I needed to replace an old OEM motherboard for an older computer that still had a useful life ahead of it. To be honest I was expecting a basic product for the price and as long as it worked I would have been happy. However, this motherboard exceeded my expectations. The BIOS is American megatrend and comes loaded with features to keep any techie happy. The board build feels solid and while it has an overall minimalistic look, it actually adds to its appearance. It came well packaged and when i installed windows 10 it had no issue with drivers, etc. If you're in need of this type of motherboard then you'll find this offers features that stand it apart from others available on amazon. So far, I'd have no hesitation in recommending this product - hence the 5 stars.

Solid replacement for my old Asus motherboard I was using for my htpc box. Have it running with a m.2 2tb ssd, two 5400rpm 4tb drives and a 300w tfx psu. Had a mild panic when I first switched it on - no display. Realised it's one of those boards that's fussy about which slots the ram is installed into. Swapped the two sticks from slots 1/3 to slots 2/4 and all was fine. If you don't want to go hunting for a secondhand lga1150 board on eBay, I'd highly recommend this.

needed an ddr3 motherboard, this had 4 ram slots and it is plenty functional for me.

Lorsque ma carte mère MSI a rendu l'âme au bout de 10 ans, j'ai voulu la remplacer par une MSI de même socket pour conserver mon Pentium et mes RAM DDR3, mais qui n'existent plus qu'en reconditionné, et après deux commandes de cartes qui ne fonctionnaient pas (pas d'affichage avec le GPU interne). Le deuxième vendeur m'a remboursée et le premier vendeur m'a envoyé une nouvelle carte qui a marché deux jours avant de lâcher comme les deux premières ! Donc, au bout de deux mois de panne, à cause des délais de port depuis la Chine, je me suis résolue à abandonner MSI et à opter pour une carte neuve. J'avais des doutes sur la fiabilité de cette SHANGZHAOYUAN, mais comme c'est la seule qu'on trouve en neuf sur le marché avec ce socket pour Pentium, j'ai franchi le pas : aussitôt reçue, installée en 1/4 d'heure dans le PC, tout a fonctionné instantanément sans besoin d'accéder au BIOS et ma Debian 11 (Linux) s'est chargée dans l'état où elle était restée il y a 2 mois et tout fonctionne parfaitement depuis sans même que j'aie eu à mettre le nez dans le bios depuis. C'est mon expérience, je ne donne aucun conseil.

J'ai monté dessus un i7 4790 sans aucun problème de détection. Les performances sont conformes aux attentes qu'on pourrait en avoir. Par contre il n'y a pas de manuel, il faudra aller fureter sur Internet. Et quand bien même, celui-ci est en anglais et assez succinct. Vous découvrirez aussi par vous même que la pile CMOS du BIOS n'est par fournie avec, qu'il faudra en acheter une et surtout qu'il faut la brancher sur une toute petite pine blanche au format MOLEX 51021 au dessus du slot PCIe. Notez bien cette info qui vous fera gagner des heures de recherche ! Enfin je n'ai pas trouvé de réglage possible pour manager la vitesse du ventilo du châssis. De visu l'ensemble parait bien fini, comme les grandes marques. A partir de là j'espère que la carte mère durera dans le temps.
