I wanted new red guards for my new skates with red laces and these had the soft covers as well as the matching cloth. Those are fine, but not only were the hard guards not even red at all, but transparent sparkly pink 👎🏻 but the poor design of the springs/screws that attaches front to back of guards is utterly disappointing and unusable. The springs detach from the screws with the slightest movement making the guards impossible to walk in, thus, useless.

I am a first time skater, and these are my the guards I chose to put on my purchased skates. They do work in protecting your skate blades, but there is a bit of an installation process to cut the guards down to the right size for your particular skates.In my case, I used a miter box and regular hand saw to cut down one side of the hard plastic guards. I do not think you could use scissors to do this, nor even aviator clippers. After sawing to the correct size, I sanded the cut edges and assembled the covers with the included screws and springs. I used a drill, and I'd recommend doing so incase the tension you apply on the spring is too much or too little and you need to re-do the screws. It appears you want enough tensions to keep the blade cover in a straight line, but not so much that you can't easily pull them on and off your skates.No written instructions were included. I had to refer back to the Amazon listing.

They are very cute also sparkly but a few things:-You have to assemble/possibly cut the hard guardsI am a size 8 and got a large. The soakers were perfect but I had to cut the hard guards about an inch. Otherwise they are great for beginner skaters but get the right size ppl!

I would give you zero stars if I could…. returned on march 9 and NOTHING… NO REFUND FOR BAD PRODUCT NO EMAIL NOTHING …I will call my credit card for a refund for a product I returned !!!’HORRIBLE AVOID

Sadly the guards are too big and extremely difficult to adjust. Even after adjusting they don't fit very well to the bladeThe soakers are great and the towel too so I give it a three.

Glad we didn't have to cut these skate guards like we did my other daughter's ice skates. My other daughter has size adult 6 feet while this one who I got these black skate guards wears adult size 9 ice skates. These guards came in halves so we had to screw the metal springs that connect the 2 guards together. They fit her skates' blades enough since the edges are deep to cover the blades. However, the edges aren't flush and kinda move up & down as she walks with these on. Nice that this comes with matching black soakers and a bonus towel to wipe her blades dry before putting in the soakers.Recommended.

They have to be cut and put together with screws and springs. Read the fine print!

I lovee them they work really well the only thing that I can complain ab was having to cut them down so they fit my skates, I wish I had known about that so I could’ve bought a special tool for it!

The medium doesn’t even fit a girls size 6 skate
