Classic Album
I first bought this album on cassette when it first came out in 1987 and played it so much the cassette wore out. I always intended replacing it on CD, but somehow never got around to it. I forgot all about it until just over a week ago when a song suddenly popped into my head for no apparent reason. That song was "Hooverville". I looked it up on the internet and also found one of my other favourite songs from the 80s, "Ideal World" and suddenly realized how much I'd loved this album and that I hadn't got the CD.I ordered it right away, and I'm so glad I did. Listening to "Ideal World" as a 16 year old in 1987, I thought of it as a pretty song sung by a man with a great voice. Listening to it today with my 42 year old ears, I realize it's so much more than that. Now that I really listen to, and fully understand the lyrics, it's one of the most beautifully crafted songs I've ever heard. It truly reflects how the world we live in should be, compared with how it actually is. And as for "Hooverville", the song the 16 year old me thought of as a catchy song with a great baseline, I had no idea at the time just how political it was, and it's probably as true today as it was then. The other songs on this CD are just as well crafted as those two are. Having not heard it in over 20 years, the album is as fresh today as it was then. Listening to it when it arrived today reiterated to me the reason why I played it so much back then, and why it was (and still is) one of the best albums I've ever bought. It's also got me asking myself one question - "WHY ON EARTH DIDN'T I REPLACE IT SOONER??"

I went and saw them live in 2016 Southport and I liked them so much that I had to buy their first album they're from liverpool from the latter eighties and the lead singer is the same age as me. The album has two or three well known tracks of theirs. Watch out for colours with words which they sang live!

Good collection of Christians hits. Pity it doesn't have Harvest for the World.
