MySit Heavy Duty 500 LBs Office Chair Tilt Mechanism Replacement Parts, 5.9'' x 10.15" Mounting Holes Tilt Control Mechanism

My relatively new swivel chair started to tilt quite badly to the right. I paid a few hundred pounds for it and the top is still like new so I was really disappointed. However seeing this replacement part I decided to try fixing it. As you can see the weld on the original part had broken half way round so I suspect this was causing the lean. The hardest part of switching the base attachments was getting the gas lift cylinder out of the old. i ended up using a pipe wrench and a hammer! All is fixed now and the chair feels sturdier than it ever has before. Hopefully this will last many years!

Much stronger than the original one with 4mm thick steel opposed to the 2.5mm steel that was splitting.

Got a £500 odd gaming chair which broke so replaced it with this part 👌 for £500 odd it should of had this on it in the first place.This was 3 x thicker than my original.

Much better quality than the other companies. This has really thick metal. Unfortunately have to return it as it doesn’t fit my chair because different holes but definitely recommend.

My gaming chair broke. The original "tilt mechanism" developed a crack. The chair was fairly expensive and I was not ready to junk it. Look for a replacement part. The "Rainforest" site had a few options. This one seemed to be the best. Easy replacement. You may have to watch a video (I did) to get the cylinder off, but other than that a simple 20 minute fix job with a heavy duty part that may well outlast the original.

Had to buy this to replace a similar part on my computer chair and it worked perfectly. Nice and durable, easy to set up (for an office chair).

Ordered this when I tried to replace the gas tube on my computer desk chair and couldn't separate the old gas tube from the tilt mechanism. It was a perfect fit for the old mechanism, bolted right in, and is at least as sturdy as the previous part (I didn't need the 500lb part). Same day delivery was just the icing on the cake.

If you're a heavy person like me. (275lbs) this is the one you need. I used to break the standard duty tilt mechanisms about every 9 months. This one has been going strong for years now and still as sturdy as new. Definitely a quality product. Five Stars!!!

My previous part on my chair was a lot more flimsy and the shock mount broke after years of use. This part looks and feels indestructible. One issue I had was with the extra thickness; getting the bolts to line up was a bit difficult because it did not sit over the back chair bracket very well. I was able to install it though and thankfully I did not have to drill out any holes.
