I like the the fog it puts out at the immediate press, it appears to be pretty effective at the distance given, don't care for the slide trigger, it's difficult to gage if hurried, but safety first I guess, Im more concerned for the moments safety, mine lol

Having recent eye surgery, I'm reluctant to "test" this voluntarily in any way at all.Now there are a couple coyotes which have been around the last several years and while they're skittish, they also seem a bit bolder lately, they pop up in my yard at night a couple times a week. When I have my telescope in the yard at night, I don't see the coyotes, so they do keep their distance, but I know they're not far off. When my wife suggested pepper spray, I didn't think it sounded unreasonable. As I don't keep any food with, or around me to tempt them, I think the spray should do the trick along with the usual loud noises, etc, should they want to approach.The spray seems very simple and straightforward to use, still, there really should be some kind of basic directions - there isn't, just some "caution" in fine print. The sticker that comes on it isn't "stuck" very well. I can press it back down and it seems adhered, but later when I look at it, it's peeling off again. I'll either tape the sticker down or remove it; either way I'll add "Pepper" in big yellow letters, just to remind me what it is.

Got this because it's advertised to spray 16 feet. Hoping to discourage a neighbor's obnoxious dog that comes crusading over the property line to bark frenziedly at me for 15, 20, 30 minutes at a stretch. (Even after a fine from Animal Control, the pathetic owner acts as if he doesn't have the faintest idea how to control his vermin.) But -- the spray stream did not go 16 feet -- more like maybe 9-10 at the most -- and the wretched mutt kept a wary distance. After four or five shots the pressure was spent and the spray only reaching 4 feet or less. So ... looks like I'm going to have to move up to BEAR SPRAY -- that should settle the little #@%&!!
