Safe-T-Salt Rock Salt 25.0 LB For Snow And Ice Removal

I recently moved from southern california where we didn't have a need for ice melting products. Now I live in the Northeast and we get ice in the winter (obviously). So, I tried both high-priced Ice Melt, and this Rock Salt. Side-by-side with high-priced "ice melt" this stuff worked so much better. It melted my driveway very quickly and completely. I covered the icy areas with a relatively thin layer of this stuff, and the entire area was totally clear of ice, it's pretty amazing. In the areas where I used the high-priced ice melt, it only melted the ice in the exact spots where the ice melt crystals landed. But this product melted all the ice everything end-to-end.

Works immediately on ice in the driveway, on steps, on my walkway, and at the entrance to my garage. Great value for the size. Also used on asaparagus beds in the summer as some old farmers suggest, so we'll see how that works out!

I love this product! It helps to keep my sidewalk free of ice for the USPS mail delivery person, the Amazon delivery person and other pedestrian traffic. I use a Scotts hand crank spreader to evenly distribute the salt and to reduce my usage (worth the cost). It also works great to keep my main sewer drain free of tree roots. Once a month I flush a cup down the toilet and pour another cup in the laundry sink to keep my drain lines flowing. My latest delivery has been delayed but I'm willing to wait for it since it keeps my sidewalk free of ice. Not everyone cares about keeping their sidewalks clean in the winter time but some people still use them.

Was delivered fast and when applying on the ground worked great I would highly recommend this rock salt.
