Q: Does it only work when the TV is on or does it receive power when the tv is in standby and provide lighting when the tv screen is off

They only work when the tv is on and not on standby, if you want something to light up when the tv is on standby you’d be better off buying the lights with the direct electrical plug that plugs into the electrical supply via a 3 pin plug and these can be switched on and off at any time, hope this answers your question 😁

Q: do these lights come on and off with the tv?

They do, but took a bit of fiddling with the settings. Whether that’s just my TV or is the same with all I have no idea.

Q: is there adhesive on the back of the led light strip?

Yes… good adhesion on the back of the strip and good re-adhesion if you need to “fine tune” after initial placement.

Q: What app is it as no instruction whst so ever mine isnt even working

No app you just stick to the sides of your tv and very easy and nice to see .
