I'm very pleased with this knee support. I have to say, as it was, it didn't actually fit my huge knee - even though the measurements given suggested it should have. But after extending the hook and loop straps with a cheap elasticated knee wrap - one where the length consists of the soft side of hook and loop - that I cut into sections, and added extra Velcro strips, it did the job perfectly. It did need readjusting after a few hours, as it was prone to slip down a little, but my elasticated extension straps helped keep it in place much longer than I had expected. Unfortunately it was too bulky to wear under trousers - I taped my knee with micropore on such occasions - and it was a little difficult to walk in a normal manner when wearing it. However, the support it provided allowed my knee to recover sufficiently, such that I only needed to wear it for a few weeks. I don't think I would like to wear it in the summer though, as only on removing it, do you realise exactly how much you've been sweating underneath!

I have long term Arthritis.Pro’s:Very stable.Easy to walk in.Not uncomfortable.Con’s:Putting them on is like fighting a “grabby” hyperactive octopus! The long Velcro straps hook onto at nearby cloth, carpet, etc.Sitting down is almost impossible, so is getting up, if you manage to sit down.Make sure you have shoes socks and clothing on before putting them on.On the whole, a useful brace that works, better than a lot of competitors, and at a reasonable price. Hence 4 stars and not 5.

great product. I have large knees (about 21 inches) and other knee supports haven't fitted. This can be fitted direct to the knee because it can open flat. Has three Velcro ties plus 2 supporting ties - over and under the knee which keep it firmly in place. Really thick so warms the knee nicely. It is lightly boned down the side to limit movement or bending of the knee - it keeps the leg straight. Cost about £2 more than another version which doesn't have the supporting ties and which slip down the leg - well worth the few pound more. Only negative, the Velcro round the top of the support scratches my leg because my legs are too big but I used the brace as the tie and bent the Velcro back on itself so didn't use it at the top. Today I'm wearing the brace over leggings so the leggings stop the scratching.

Good product, feels well made. However for my knee it was quite small, and when I finally managed to work out how to wear it looking at the pictures on the amazon listing, I discovered that it restricts movement quite a but.Their after sales support contacts was helpful and I will keep this one for when staying indoors or at night, but I need something better fitting for when out and about.Having made a few attempts at working out how to put this on, I discovered that the body fabric has already started to fray because the velcro straps attach directly onto it and not onto corresponding velcro pads.I gave this only 3 stars because no instructions came with the item and also because having followed the measure an size guides, the XL should've fit but it's a bit on the small side and the fact that its already frayed even though I have not been able to wear it more than 5 min.

It's very supportive but you are I pain it's awkward to put on yourself

Firstly the size, the brace itself is 16 inches (41cm) allowing for the velcro, even though this is advertised as measuring from 60 to 67 cm. I did all of the measuring and came well within tolerances. However when I tried this on, i had to drag the 41cm brace around my leg tightly using the three velcro points to fasten it. Then came the straps, this is where the extension to 67cm comes in. the straps pass around the leg and secure through a buckle with more velcro, very, very strong velcro. Having assembled the whole thing (there are no diagrams or instructions) I couldn't pull my jeans over the top. I couldn't bend my leg and it was uncomfortable. I tried just using the straps to fasten it, not pulling the brace around my leg first but the prevalence of all that velcro made it quite painful. I tried folding the velcro in on itself first but that still hurt and made a worse bulk. This is like a piece of armour! It may look ok on a big strapping athletes bare leg, but all I wanted was a support for a really sore knee, and this hurt worse than the injury and cant be used under every day clothing.

I used to have a pair of these supports some years ago, but they kept slipping down the leg so I never kept them. These will undoubtedly do the same for anyone who needs them to walk in, but sitting and needing pain relief, they won't move much. And going out on my buggy will be all right, too. I got so tired of the constant knee pain while I was watching telly, I couldn't bear it any more. Even though these are extremely hard to get on with my arthritic hands, I wouldn't be without them.Supportive, along with being lovely and warm. Just right for the coming winter!

Great knee support. After looking for & purchasing 2 similar knee braces for my husband this one finally does the job. Good support, comfortable to wear & strong velcro straps. The other 2 were returned as did not fit despite being advertised as XL. This one is true to size for slightly larger knee. Arrived quickly. Recommended seller. Thank you
