Q: does this model also spin?

If centered correctly it will not spin.

Q: Will this support a magnet when the base is vertical - wall mounted?

I would have to say no, I never received this one but I did buy a different version and it will not go vertical.

Q: Mine will not hover in the center why? Jist keep skipping off to the sides and sticking like a magnet?

Make sure it's plugged in and use the 4 LED lights to help center it. You may also need to adjust the magnetic strength by turning the like screws under the base.
