Campbells Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup, 295g

This and the Campbell’s chicken soup are both godsends for chicken or beef casseroles. I use this instead of a white sauce base without diluting, once the meat and veg are pre-seared or cooked depending on the dish. This mushroom soup has such a strong flavour very little additional seasoning etc is needed.

Any flavour of Campbell's condensed soups are a great cupboard staple. This soup won't disappoint if you're a mushroom soup fan. However, I keep it in store for adding to a chicken casserole with a tsp of curry powder, a dollop of mayo and broccoli. Mmm

Used as a sauce, adding celery, peppers, more mushrooms shallots. I add to chicken it makes a good meal go further served with rice or potatoes and other veg choices.

I have purchased these for my vegetarian family's members £1.60. This is more than a soup can be used as a white sauce for Italian like pasta, risotto or any other Fusion Dishes. The price has gone up a lot £1.60 each tin. It used be btw 50p to £1 over a decade ago. But I will stick with My Morrisons Plant Revolution White Sauce as a Vegan. Still highly recommended though 👍

I am a long term fan of condensed Campbells soup but alas it is hard to find. It is perfect as a cooking sauce and therefore very useful for other purposes other than soup. As it is condensed it goes a long way and therefore good value for money
