Good value for the money.
I purchased these to use for kitchen under counter lighting. I had used a more expensive product from another vendor on a previous installation but on the advice of a friend that had used these, I decided to give then a try. I read several reviews that criticized the thickness of the metal and problems installing the plastic lens. While the metal was slightly thinner than the brand I previously used, it was plenty thick enough to be sturdy and dissipate heat adequately. Additionally the supplied clips hold the metal strips off of the mounting surface slightly allowing airflow to aid in cooling. As for difficulty installing the lens, I cannot imagine what issues anyone could experience. The lens simply snapped in place exactly as the instructions stated. If there is any complaint it is that the hole in the channel ends do not have a large enough hole for the 18 gauge wire I used. That was very easy to remedy with a pocket knife. I will be using the same system for my daughter’s kitchen cabinets.

Great for mounting LED light strips.
I like they are pretty easy to install. It's nice to be able to keep the LED strips from falling down. About the only issue you're really had was that there was not enough clips that hold two segments together in the package. I have used them under my bed and under a breakfast bar to hold the LED strips. So far they work fine.

Simple install, works with Phillips HUE light strip
I was initially going to return these because an unaltered Phillips HUE light strip does not fit in the channel. In order to get it to fit you have to (gingerly) remove the strip from the soft plastic channel that it comes in. I used a small scissors and slid it up the sheathing without having to do much actual cutting. After that I carefully peeled it open, removed the light strip, and trimmed around the area where the cord connects to the strip. It sounds like a lot of work but it took two minutes. After that it fits perfectly in the channel!!To trim the channel and diffuser cover to size I used a multi-tool and it made a clean and straight cut.I used double sided tape to affix the channel to the underside lip of my fireplace hearth and to the inside of the channel base to secure the strip. The diffuser cover then easily snapped into place. It honestly didn’t make a huge difference, but I think part of that is due to the lip of the fireplace hearth being shallow. Part of me wonders if the shallow lip issue/seeing the lights would be minimized if I used a corner channel, but mounted it so that it faced toward the fireplace. It did help with the reflection off the wood floor and it looks like the light extends further out.I’m planning on using the other channels under bathroom cabinets so I’m optimistic it will work a bit better there.Picture 1: the diffuser cover is only applied to the right half of the light strip. You can see the reflection on the floor is blurred and the light cast extends out further.Picture 2: you can see the diffuser cover doesn’t do much for diffusing the actual light strip, but the shallow lip is likely the real issue.Picture 3: entire strip has diffuser applied.

Used for cabinet lighting.
Diffuser works great, can’t see individual leds from the tape light. Easy to cut with some sheet metal shears. The plastic connectors I used for the tape light don’t fit inside this housing but it wasn’t really an issue for me.

Excellent finishing trim for home improvement projects.
Good straightened extrusions, well fitting diffusers with peel off installation scratch protector, well fitting end caps. The included metal mounting clips work much better for me than the plastic ones offered elsewhere. The included screws and plaster anchors.round out a complete kit. I used these with a PIR (passive IR) motion detector BQLZR DC 12V~24V 8A Automatic LED PIR Motion Sensor Switch Light Lighting Delay Time 10 Seconds for Staircase, a 12V UL listed supply LPV-60-12 Sealed Panel Mount LPV Series AC-DC 12-volt 5-Amp Power Supply with LED Driverand 3500K (neutral slightly warm) 3528 120 LEDs/meter LED strips LEDMO 2835 LED Strip,600 LEDS IP65 LED Strip Lights Warm White 3000K DC12V 15Lm/LED CRI80,Waterproof For Wet Location,3 Times Brightness Than SMD3528 LED Light Stripto update our closet lighting. I also installed a PWM dimmer, but it wasn't really needed. I put 1 strip across the ceiling at the door edge and another across the bottom of the shelf the closets are more than 1m wide so I used an elongated mounting clip at the joint to keep the channels aligned.Muzata Extension Connectors for U-Shape Aluminum LED Channel, The Aluminum Channels Can Be Connected Seamless For Longer Lighting Project,20PACK. The screws for use with the anchors are longer than desirable for the wood shelf, but the ones that came with the extensions were a good length. since I used 2 sets of 2 ordinary clips and 1 extension clip for each closet, 1 set into plaster and 1 set into wood, the screw use happened to match the provided screws, I cut the extrusions using a 10" sliding compound mitre saw with a non-ferrous metal blade.Concord Blades ACB1000T080HP 10-Inch 80 Teeth TCT Non-Ferrous Metal Saw Blade. I assemble the diffuser into the extrusion and wrap it with one turn of painter's tape or masking tape straddling the cut line . The tape provides a markable, removable surface and controls the tendency for the plastic to vibrate and chip. I use the saw as a chop saw, descending slowly into the work diffuser side up. The resulting cut line doesn't need the extensive clean up that would be needed if a wood blade is used. The tiny burr can be ignored or removed with a diamond nail file or miniature flat file Needle File Set (HIGHEST QUALITY 6 PIECE SET) Hardened Alloy Strength Steel - Mini Needle File Set Includes Flat, Flat Warding, Square, Triangular, Round, and Half-Round File. For those who don't have the tool, I tested making a cut with a razor saw Zona 35-550 Fine Razor Saw, 42 TPI, .010-Inch Kerf, Blade Length 6-1/2-Inch , Cut Depth 1-3/16-Inch, and its possible to get a good clean cut without undue effort. Neither a simple hack saw, back saw (mitre box), or carpenters saw will make a clean cut. If you happen to have an ingersol air powered (auto) body saw with a fine blade it will make a serviceable cut requiring minor cleanup with minimal effort, but a harbor freight air body saw has more blade wobble and will shatter the diffuser. I cut the LED strip and remove just enough of the silicone to access the solder pads and solder LED wire EvZ 20m 66ft 20awg Extension Cable Wire Cord for Led Strips Single Colour 3528 5050 directly onto the strip. but there are solderless connectors offered on Amazon.if you don't wish to solder.
