If you use it right this product is awesome for slate.
This is a brilliant product for indoor slate floors. And the lithofin technical helpline is fab. We have slate everywhere - in our hall and kitchen, annex and barn conversion holiday let, huge areas, with heavy use including loads of dogs. If you want a darker look use with colour intensifier. I have just topped up the annex floor with this, it had a different brand of similar sealer which was not as good imo - the floor had some water and drink spill marks. I used an emulsifying pad to apply stain stop, it completely took away the marks and scratches. You MUST buff off any excess still on the surface after 10 mins to get a good look. The lithofin cleaners are excellent too. I used intensive cleaner first. Has to be clean and 100% dry to apply stain stop. LTP do a fab range of tools and accessories which make cleaning applying and topping up easy. Long pole with interchangeable ends eg brush, grout brush, emulsifying pad, sealer pad. If you have a floor which is going to stay dry (ie not a bathroom) you can use multiseal over the top of stain stop for a wet look and super 3asy cleaning, dirt just floats off. DO use the Lithofin cleaners for everuday cleaning, not stuff like Zoflora. They last forever and keep it looking tip top. Stain stop and Multi seal are so much easier to maintain than Slate Seal by the way - I have a floor with slate seal on and I'm going to need a professional in to restore it after its been down 20 years and is very grubby. My Stain stop floor has beem down 10 years and was easy to refresh. Don't know about other stone but this is the d's b's for slate imo. And no I don't work for then, I work in IT!

Time will tell.
Used this on my honed Welsh slate hearth, a bit sad how dark its left it, it's gone from grey to charcoal and has pretty much taken away the natural inperfections and left it more uniform. Product was easy to apply with a foam roller and buffed out well. Hopfully its protected for the future now, but truth be told I wish I hadnt bothered.

seals stone well
Worked well on my limestone fireplace very little difference to the appearance, was more of a colour difference (slightly darker) on sandstone, but nothing major and seals it well.

Limestone mantle protection.
Had a new fireplace fitted with a limestone mantle, fitters recommend sealing it with Lithofin stain stop. Went on easily put two coats on, did buy two tins as didn’t know how much I would need. Only used one tin.I dose give off a strong smell/vapour when applied, time will tell if it keeps off stains.,
