These are pretty small units so you won't be able to put out a big fire but you'll be able to make the difference. Get yourself enough time to get out.Every kitchen should have one of these and a fire blanket.They're small enough to be discrete. I have one in each bedroom, the kitchen, and the garage. I had just enough to put the gas fire out. If you have a large fire it could be an issue but this thing saved my jet ski! Amazing investment
