Really nice chess set. Seems well made with an extra queen. Would definitely reccomend from beginers to the more adanced.

Good quality for the price, but pieces are very very light. There’s no magnet so if you just blow on the piece, they’ll easily fall. Would have preferred heavier pieces but then again considering the price it does the job.

For the money this is a nice chess set, which the recipient has already gotten a lot of use out of. It comes with a spare pair of queens for conversions, too. It's lightweight (pieces aren't weighted) but that suits younger players or using it as a travel kit.

Grandson is just 7 but keen to learn chess. This set is good quality wood pieces and board. Folds away neatly. He loves it!

If you’re looking for a good portable but still well sized chess board that’s up to standard then this is it for yah! Just a couple notes, it’s not magnetic but I would say a nice weight to each piece if you still want to play outside on a summers day… doesn’t come with checkers… but you’re here for chess and it’s just a good chess board :)Pieces are lightly varnished, nice new smell to them and quite robust! Latches are decent and I have no faults… (for now) but what faults do chess boards have? It’s a chess board mate… just buy it!
