Plenty of grip and huge Upgrade for the ROG ALLY
The Skull & Co. Skin, CQC and FPS Thumb Grips Joystick Caps are nice and grippy with a good feel. They fit the ROG ALLY Z1 Extreme, after putting on the best case I Could find, loading up a 2TB NVME, and doing all the tricks I finally got in to play and found the joysticks sucked.Too slippery, and made the xbox x controller look like a miracle. You really don't know a good joystick until you use a bad one...cough joycon....cough...After scouring online for options on change outs, I found this was one of the few Amazon sellers so took a chance figuring I Could send them back if they didn't work.I was impressed with how sticky these are and the different options. I have the default ones and they work great for platformers, davie the diver and add a huge amount of enjoyment to the console. The purple color pops the most on the white ALLY.Really pleased with the product's stickiness, 3 sizes and of course that it was easy to get off Amazon with no shipping fees with prime.I paid 9.99 and for 3 bucks a set it's good value. They have popped off once during some intense game play, and I did see some other sets use almost a reverse vacuum but these do the job for 10 bucks. They also fit OK with a face plate cover on, the standard aren't so thick that if you're using a face play cover to throw your ALLY in the bag they'll still fit.If you're having too much joystick slip on your ALLY these'll fix it right up.A plus.

Super tacky and high quality feel
These things are super tacky. Like so much grip. They’re actually kind of hard to get on the joystick at first because they’re such a strong fit and I love the fact that you have three different options to use. I put this on my steam deck, and it made the already great joysticks on that feel phenomenal.

Precision, Protection, and Personality
Thumbsticks can be a gamer's Achilles’ heel — they wear down, slip, or simply don’t feel right for different play styles. The Skull & Co. Skin, CQC, and FPS Thumb Grip Set is a versatile upgrade that gives you multiple options to tune your grip, improve control, and extend the life of your sticks, all in one affordable package. ✅ What Works (Pros):Multiple Grip Styles – Includes three types: Skin (thin, close-to-stock feel), CQC (slightly raised for comfort and grip), and FPS (taller for precision aiming). Swapping them is a breeze.Excellent Traction – Textured patterns give you a confident hold, whether you’re spamming jump-shots or going for a gentle flick-snipe.Protects Your Sticks – Covers the original thumbsticks from grime and wear, keeping your controller looking fresh longer.Good Fit – No wobble or slip once installed, with enough stretch to work on most standard-size sticks (Switch Pro, Xbox, PlayStation, etc.).Affordable – Offers great value by giving you a full range of performance profiles in one purchase.⚠️ What Misses the Mark(Cons): 🚫 Takes Getting Used To – If you’ve never used taller grips, the FPS caps can feel awkward for the first hour or so of play. 🚫 Skin Grip Durability – The thinnest Skin style may wear out faster under aggressive play, especially if you game with sweaty hands. 🚫 No Carry Case – For a set with multiple grip types, a small pouch or case would have been a thoughtful addition to avoid losing pieces. 🚫 Not for Everyone – If you strongly prefer the factory thumbstick feel, even the Skin grips can slightly change the tension and travel, which might bother purists. Bottom LineThe Skull & Co. Thumb Grip Set is a smart, budget-conscious upgrade that extends the life of your sticks and improves control, with the flexibility to match your play style. Whether you’re a casual couch warrior or a competitive FPS fiend, there’s a grip in this set that can dial in your comfort and aim.In short? It’s like having a pit crew for your thumbs — tailored, protective, and ready to adapt to any race. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ — Four stars for a flexible, quality thumb grip set with minor nitpicks.

Comfortable
These woke well. The three pack was nice for my console as well as my wife’s switch. She refuses to play without them. Good grip. Non slip. Great value.

ROG Ally approved ✅
I got this set for my husband and I for our ROGs. He likes to have the extended thumb sticks, whereas I like a convex non-extended thumb stick. So this pack was perfect for us! I love mine as I feel like I can reach my small thumb to the stick and grip it from any angle it feels. The sides are a smooth grip and the top part is a smooth surface but still really grippy without being uncomfortable. He loves his as he has big hands and loves the extended thumb sticks for comfort for him. His a a smoother material with no texture for grips like the ones I use. Still really grippy though. I should also mention that the ROG Ally has concave thumb sticks already, so I love the fact that the thumb grips have a bulge underneath to fill the concave gap, to make the fit perfect. Installation is a breeze as you just flip them inside out and then flip it back once I'm on top of the stick. Functionality is great, build quality great. I can't reccomend these more! And if you prefer the concave version from skull candy, I also have those and if you prefer concave, those will be perfect for you, I just prefered convex instead.

Very good grip for the steam deck
These make a whole big difference when using the steam deck, when the only "grip" on the joysticks is your dead skin cells this makes a world of difference and I am not over overexaggerating when I say these are definitely worth it. They also look really good on the deck as well! They function as they should the grip and texture will definitely will help you. I don't like the ones that protrude out though those are too high for me, but the flatter ones are great.
