Does indeed.....work.
I wanted to play my games on something that's modern, and didn't want to find/use a big ass tube TV. It works as intended. No noticeable lag, easy to set up. Now go bust out your copy of Crazy Taxi, or Soul Calibur and let the nastolgia wave take over your mind.

Out of the World
I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how well this works. The one thing I will say is that the further away you are, the better the graphics look on newer TVs. Unfortunately even with adapters like this there’s only so much that can be done to make the graphics look solid on newer TVs.

Blurry, oversaturated colors and color bleed
Not really impressed with the video quality of this Kaico cable.I've been using a LevelHike cable which has decent video quality, but the left and right audio channels are reversed and it only outputs 720p.I bought this Kaico cable as claims to output 1080p and wanted to check if the audio channels are reversed. After plugging in the Kaico cable, I immediately noticed a drop in video quality. The image is blurry. The colors are oversaturated to the point where some of the text is difficult to read. There is very noticeable color bleed. This cable uses the S-Video output of the Saturn as it's source, instead of RGB which the LevelHike cable uses, so that explains the difference in video quality. The one advantage the Kaico cable has is that the left and right audio channels are correct and not reversed like on the LevelHike cable. It does output 1080p, but since it uses S-Video instead of RGB the video quality is no better.

Great way to hook Sega Saturn to HDMI TV
This worked perfectly hooking up my Saturn to my HDMI TV and allowed me to switch between 16:9 and 4:3 display formats.

Garbage
Not sure why they advertise and market this as a 1080p upscaler, since it neither outputs at 1080p, nor does it scale much of anything. Horrible picture with blown-out colors and extreme blur. This is somehow even worse than Pound's version of this cable.

Fantastic low-cost Saturn solution
Take note that Kaico has another Saturn upscaler on Amazon right now, a "Saturn 2X + Genesis + NeoGeo" adapter for about 75. This is a similar device but uses very different signal types, so pay close attention to the input/outputs described to make sure they work for your setup. This is a great plug-and-play Saturn HDMI adapter that costs less than the alternatives and will give you a fantastic picture on modern TVs. Unlike other models that can offer different smoothing, input, and output settings, this one is pretty strict: it takes the S-Video signal from your Saturn and outputs 1080P to your HDMI.Many purists out there will tell you RGB is the only way to get good picture quality but the fact is that the Saturn (and later the Dreamcast) have incredible S-Video quality compared to other consoles of the time. The difference between this and a similar RGB upscaler is pretty negligible. In addition, the picture has brighter color depth and better screen fill than the other Kaico Saturn adapters I have used. I am not sure what kind of scaling and deinterlacing method this device uses but it outputs a consistent 1080P signal that appears to fill the screen without overscan. There are some hiccups that keep this from being a perfect solution. I noticed a bit of blurring/smoothing, particularly during lots of motion. This can create a weird, muddy look if you're used to sharp pixels. Also, it has noticeable input lag compared to their 480P linedoubler model. It is not really severe enough to affect gameplay, but it is just enough that you'll be aware of it.For this price and ease of use, this is a very good solution for playing a Saturn on modern TVs. You won't find any TVs these days that can't handle 1080P and the Saturn's own S-Video output is crisp. The fact that the adapter has a small 16:9/4:3 switch is a great perk, because (surprisingly) there are a handful of Saturn games with widescreen modes! Solid product all around.

It works
Allows you to connect Sega Saturn with your new TV. Do not expect high definition as this is impossible due to technical limitations (search online to learn why). But the cable does the work and it's affordable.
