Loud & Awesome!
The media could not be loaded. EXCELLENT TRIP WIRE!!! I ordered this to use while camping to warn us of animal intruders; especially bears. This trip wire device is made entirely of metal. That was a good decision since to setup this device you will need a 12 gauge blank. Luckily, I had some 12 gauge blanks laying around so I set this trip wire up in my backyard to do a test run. Once the blank was inserted and secured I walked through the trip wire to activate it and it instantly set off the blank shell. The noise seemed to be louder than when shot with a shotgun. This trip wire device works excellently well and I would definitely recommend it.

Complete product failure!
We purchased two of these perimeter trip alarms. From a separate vendor, we purchased twenty five new 12 gauge blanks. We mounted both trip alarms as described by the manufacturer. When the trip wire was pulled and the firing pin deployed it failed to detonate the 12 gauge round. We tried this with multiple new 12 gauge rounds. The firing pin does not have enough force to ignite the primer. If the primer fails to ignite the main propellant will not ignite i.e. the round will not discharge. No boom. No bang. Just the sound of crickets. Complete product failure!I will be down loading a video of these events in the near future. Save your money and stay away from this manufacturer.

Misdescribed item
So, I had to drill the hole of the adapter to make the primer fit. The primer I used was a CX2000 Type 209

A simple and much-needed BEAR DETERRENT for my cabin!
I live bordering the forest that is loaded with wildlife and have caught bears on my security cams rummaging through my trash and dog food cabinet on the back deck. This makes a loud enough POP! to keep the pesky bear away for good because they only need to trip it once or twice before they stay away for good. I know of a man that was killed when he surprised a bear in his own yard so now I feel a whole lot safer!
