Very comfortable inflatable bed - highly recommended
Excellent single bed! I’m actually really surprised how good it is. To be honest, I couldn’t make up my mind between one of the concertina style XXL folding camp beds or an inflatable bed. I was worried the inflatable might make me hot and sweaty, but that has not been the case at all.I’m ashamed to say I ordered the concertina style metal camp bed first, but found it hugely uncomfortable, despite ordering the 28 inch extra wide concertina bed… it sagged terribly in the middle, the fabric was itchy, and it creaked every time I moved on it. I felt terrible sending it back after the first night, but at £69 it was a lot of money to not be comfortable. So after reading the reviews, I ordered this airefina self inflatable bed for £59 and I am delighted that I made the switch.Firstly, it’s a decent proper size 36 inch wide single bed, the electric inflation is so easy and takes just 2-3 minutes, it’s more compact and lighter than the concertina bed to store or transport; and above all it’s VERY comfortable to sleep on.I’ve been testing it out at home for 4 nights in preparation for our upcoming trip away. The main tips I have for a great nights sleep are:- Do not inflate too much to make it solid and rigid, as a softer bed moulds better to your body, ensuring a softer nights sleep with no solid mattress digging into your hips especially if you are a lady like me who likes to sleep on your side.- I have experimented with various bedding options to find the optimum comfort level. In the end, I used a 4.5tog summer quilt in a good quality cotton duvet cover as my mattress topper that I sleep on. In winter, you could upgrade to a 10.5tog for extra warmth, but this made it way too hot for summer sleeping.- And I used an empty cotton double quilt cover as my top sheet with a very cheap breathable fleece blanket from Home-bargains on top for good body coverage and warmth. And of course my favourite pillow from my real bed at home. Now that I have perfected the right inflation level and soft bedding, I am truly delighted with this air bed. It really is as comfortable as my main bed at home. You need to allow a day or two for the initial mattress to stretch, as the first inflation does stretch the plastic slightly, so I did add a little air on the first two mornings to optimise the stretch factor. But by the third and fourth day I did not need to top up with any extra air. If anything, I found myself letting air out to get the right sleep softness. At £59 this airbed was money well spent, and will give years of good sleep when travelling and also at home for visitors.Note that with less air in it to achieve the right ‘sleep comfort’ softness level, it does wobble a little more when you move or sit up, so I’d hate to try and get a good nights sleep on a double air bed with another person; but as a single bed, it really is pure bliss. So, if you are considering buying a double bed, I’d recommend buying two single inflatables!!Highly recommended. And it doesn’t creak…

Excellent bed
Better than I expected. Been used a few times when family visits and they all said how comfortable the bed is.Really easy to get out and the built in pump makes it very quick to inflate. Bit noisy but only takes a few minutes to do the job, I recommend this product.

Comfortable for temporary use
I have used this air bed continuously for a few weeks before writing this review. It’s a good sized single air bed, that stands about 16 inches/40 cm high when inflated. This makes it easier to get on and off, and you don’t feel like you’re sleeping a few inches off the floor. Too big for a one or two man tent but fine as a temporary bed at home if someone visits for a few days.It has mains-powered inflation and deflation, which works well and is essential given that it’s quite a tall air bed, so needs a lot of air. The motor is quite noisy, but you only have to endure it for a few minutes. The top (sleeping side) is covered with a soft velour or felt-like coating but you would still need a base sheet. This for partly for comfort but also because the coating picks up lint very easily. This can be removed with sticky tape, but is a minor irritant. It’s actually quite comfortable to sleep on, and it holds its pressure well. Although it did soften slightly over the course of a few days, it still provided good support and I only needed to give it a small top up once a week. You get a few rubbery squeaks if you wriggle around on it, but mainly when getting on and off. Not intrusive at all.It comes well packed and tightly rolled to fit into its packaging. After fully inflating it, using it and then deflating it again, I found it impossible to fold and roll it back up to its original size, no matter how carefully I tried. The motor end is bulky and you are afraid to pull and twist too much, in case you puncture it.It can be folded up enough for storage but you will find it difficult to get it into the storage bag provided.Overall, I am happy with it and would recommend it.
