No more watering by hand!
Perfect for automated watering! We have an older version watering a hanging annual basket, and we've added two more for a pair of garden beds. Overhead watering with a sprinkler wastes a lot of water, and it showed on the water bill last summer.Since we don't have water lines run under the grass and we didn't want a hose running across the yard, these solar drip systems are a great alternative.Setup was a breeze. The drip line tubing is easy to cut to size, and there was plenty of leftover tubing. We ran a central line down the center of each raised bed with branches extending out to the sides. Each drip is fed by a five gallon bucket next to each bed. Now, instead of constantly watering plants individually by hose, all we have to do is fill the buckets every couple days. The drip system saves a lot of time and effort, getting water directly to the roots where it's needed, not all over the rest of the yard and weeds.Highly recommended!

No more need to hire a yard service while I'm on vacation
I got this just to try it out and help me keep my plants from dying while we were gone for a weekend. I've always had to hire someone to water the plants, and even then, we'd sometimes come back to brown, withered plants. I was unsure of how this would work, so I soaked all of my plants before we left and installed the drip lines. I filled my 5 gallon reserve bucket with water and set the timer to water 10 minutes every 24 hours. When we came back, ALL of my plants were alive, doing well and there was still water left in the bucket. You'd need a larger reservoir is you're going away for more than a 3 day trip or if you want it to water more frequently. This is a game changer for my plants in this Florida heat. I'll be buying another one to give to my sister for her garden to use with her rain barrel.

Lights up but doesn't pump
Followed the simple instructions to the letter. The LEDs lit up but the pump never came on. I've bought 3 different types of solar powered pumps in the past. Unlike all of those, this one can not be operated manually to test everything. That's a major disadvantage to this unit. Unfortunately, the Return Window closed before I tried it. There's no way in hale that I'd buy another one of these and I strongly recommend that, if you're reading this, you don't buy one either.

Lot of things to love about this system, but a couple of caveats.
I'm using it in my veggie garden - eight 20 gallon grow bags, plus some in-ground squash. Some things get more than one emitter.I use a full outdoor-sized plastic garbage can (with lid - mosquitos!) for water. 30 minutes uses about 1/3 of the water. This was my first time setting up any drip irrigation, so I made a map in visio first to get my head around it. Helped a lot. Actual set-up was pretty straightforward - maybe an hour.Caveats:There's no actual clock, just a timer, so, to set it to run every day at 6am, you have to start it at 6am. Granted, a one time thing, but still - one main reason for automated watering is to not have be up at 6am.Second, they use non-US-standard sized tubing - it's 4mm/6mm NOT 1/4". Found out the hard way trying to replace a t connector that snapped in half (still not sure how that actually happened).Lastly, almost impossible (for me) to read the LCD in daylight.Note that I saw later that the instructions suggested charging with USB first - I didn't see/do that, but had it out in the sun for a day or two before I tried using it, and it worked fine. Maybe the LCD would have been brighter had I charged it?All and all a great option for areas with no tap/power.

Great timer function
This is a game changer for my raised garden beds. I have 6 large raised garden beds that I am growing all my veggies in. I got one of these watering systems to see if it worked well and it does! I liked it so much, I am getting one for every bed. I just have to fill the water tub, turn the timer on and it waters my garden just as I normally would. This saves so much time and gives me a sense of security that when I can’t get out(due to disability), my garden will be thriving.

Perfect water irrigation when I am on vacation
Took me some time to set it up, the time consuming part is to connect the tube with dripper and measure the distance from each pot. I only set up for 5 pots temporary to ensure it works before I continue. It works great! I actually see the water dripping for each pot. Timer is easy to use. To test it, I set it for 3 min. It stops after 3 min.

Make Life Simple During Summer Heat
This is exactly what I was looking for in my front flower bed. We have a rain barrel and I have been looking for a way to water everything in the front flowerbed using that water in an automated way. This fits our needs perfectly. Setup was quick and easy. I have it set to water twice a day for 5 minutes. Everything is working exactly as it should. My plants needed this during this brutal summer heat.
