Larsen SS1 Solar System, English Edition, 70 Piece Boxless Tray & Frame Jigsaw Puzzle

It looks nice but it is a bit too easy for my 5 year old granddaughter.

This review was put together by my dear wife, the most excellent Nanny and all round good egg. She doesn't look like an egg nor is she round I'd like to point out, in case she reads this. I value my parts in hanging where they are. So, over to She Who Must Be Obeyed...I bought this puzzle for my grandchildren (six year old boy/girl twins) as they are learning about the planets at school.The puzzle sits within a frame which assists the piecing it together and also keeps it neat for storage. Each row of puzzle pieces are the same shape which in some ways makes it easier on the other hand can also cause a bit of confusion and unlike a traditional puzzle you don't look for a certain shape to fit in a gap.The puzzle pieces fit well together and are fairly robust, although they are, at the end of the day, still cardboard so Nanny did give the pre assembly warning not to bend or break the pieces!They enjoyed reading the information about the planets, especially 'Uranus' or in typical 6 year old humour, 'The butt planet,' and were quite pleased to be able to tell Nanny all about each one.This Nanny doesn't really understand (or see the attraction of) computer games, spending half an hour sitting at the dining table, discussing the planets, finding the next piece of the puzzle and seeing their sense of achievement from something that doesn't provide 'instant gratification' is very rewarding.Jigsaw puzzles maybe an old fashioned thing of the past but they are a delightful way to spend time with children and in the end that's what life is about. Passing time with the new generation and passing on a bit of knowledge.

I have actually already completed a rating on this product but am happy to do another one !! I am very happy with my purchase and particularly like the fact that a large box was not part of the package. This jigsaw is very easy to store in a sealed bag along with a picture of the completed jigsaw.I bought 3 of these to use at a large family gathering of 18 members at Christmas. It was to be a speed game seeing which team could complete the jigsaw the fastest.Obviously our family gathering was cancelled because of Covid-19 but these three jigsaws will definitely be used in the future when the 18 of us can meet up safely again.

It lacks a picture of the image which could help little ones when they are putting together the pieces. It also lacks a box or something to put the pieces in after playing with it but nice picture of the solar system

Good solid jigsaw and my 6 year old loves the challenge of it whilst learning!

This is a lovely, good quality jigsaw however I was a bit disappointed it doesn't come with a box. Apart from that it is very good

This puzzle does not come in a box but it is quite nice and presented a challenge for my 3 year old. The kid loves it and the picture is quite good. Just wish it came in a box or bag instead of just wrapped in thin plastic.

Bought it for my mum to put together to keep her busy during isolation....while she was happy with it, she mentioned the puzzle DID NOT come in a box so she could not refer to the image. I would have thought that a pic would be a given.
