Totally giftable
I know a few reviews have stated you can’t watercolor paint in this (these) books , but you can. Just don’t expect to wet on wet technique. You have to limit the amount of water you are using. I’ve shown a front & back of both pages that I watercolor painted on. I have also used colored pencils, Tombow dual brush markers, and multiple fine tip pens—all passed the test for me. These books are a great way, for me, to work art into my day without much thought or preparation.

Good prompts, like taking a lowkey art class
I’m about 1/3 of the way through this book, and I’m enjoying the exercises. Some are more challenging than others, but there is a huge variety of assignments/art prompts, so if I’m not feeling the project on the page for the day, I skip around to one I feel like doing. There are drawing, collage, watercolor, and coloring exercises. I’d suggest getting a nice set of colored pencils to use in this art book.

Beautifully Bound - A GREAT Gift for Any Artist (beginning or needing some extra ideas)
I just got my copy today and was so happy at the quality of the binding. It's a beautiful book, and I've already read the pages leading up to the challenge pages. It says you don't have to do them in order. I don't know yet if I will or not, but I expect I'll probably initial and date each page as I do it. This book would be a great gift for anyone who feels like they need a little extra help in the creativity area.

Good, varied prompts
This is a great little book for people with a creative block. It calls for using various mediums, the topics are quite varied, and the difficulty levels offer a good variety too. You can spend as much or little time on each page as you want, and it's good for getting you out of your comfort zone.My biggest pet peeve is that the pages are thin. Yes, that keeps it more affordable, but that also means that ink, markers, and other wet mediums can leak through onto the next page. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it is annoying to have an otherwise good doodle marred by what you did on the previous page.I would still recommend this. I don't plan on making a masterpiece so it's not a huge deal for me, just a minor annoyance. But it's worth keeping in mind if you're picky about that sort of thing.

It's a great book!
A great book for budding artist or a TEACHER, or a wanna be artist like ME! I'm a senior citizen who is more into crafting than drawing or Art but I have enjoyed this book so much. It was a Christmas gift last year from my daughter who teaches art in Elementary School. And I haven't nearly completed all the exercises, but I get to pick and choose the ones that interest me. I bought one for my oldest daughter, too, because my children are more talented than their mother, and this book challenges both notice and advanced artist!

Loved as a gift!
Super cute art book for my aunt for Christmas. She’s pretty artsy and does a lot of crafts etc. this book was amazingly filled with all sorts of things. I looked at it before I gave it to her and it was very cool for someone that likes to draw doodle or try different things. Really nicely composed book.
